Placements and Internships
- I did internships in BSES YAMUNA POWER and DMRC. In both internships my focus was on power systems (distribution) and traction systems which helped me a lot in realising the real life situations. In electrical engineering department, companies like Trident give the highest package which varies around INR 10,00,000 while other key companies like Siemens , L&T and Tata Power give an average salary figure of INR 5,00,000 PA.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 8 boys hostel, 1 hostel for foreign students and 2 for girls. The hostels have all the facilities like Common room, reading rooms etc . Hostel environment is really great.
- The hostel fee is INR 5,000 PA and mess fee is INR 2,000 PM.
- The hostel food is average.
- Classrooms quality is very good. They have projectors and Ac's in almost every classroom and all classrooms are well maintained.
- Library and Wifi facility is average.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Admission procedure in JMI is through its own entrance examination in 2012 (which was overall an easy exam for students who have prepared for JEE advance ), but now the Jamia takes admission through Jee Mains (from 2016 onwards) .
- The cutoff for CS is 180 marks, while in remaining branches it's 140-150 .
- For admission in electrical engineering the cut off is 140.
Academics and Faculty
- The class timings in college is really good and suits most of the students. Assignments are given before every session and in start of every semester .
- In core subject ike Electrical Machines, the faculty is excellent, maybe one of the best faculty in India. In subjects like network and power electronics, faculty is really good. Overall they focus on concepts rather then just giving notes.
- Overall my experience in college was really good.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is approximately INR 10,000.
- There are many scholarships options available for students throughout the year such as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship etc.
Clubs and Associations
- There are several student societies in college who frequently organise events in campus.

Placements & Internships : end of the day you will definately have a job. may be not on campus but jamia has a brand value off campus. average salery would be 5lacs. alumni network is not maintained but it is a work in progress. we will have it in a few years.
