Placements and Internships
- Placements are quite good as compared to all the NITs in this stream. PSUs are also hiring students.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 10 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel. The mess bill comes to a average of Rs 3000-3600 per month.
- No non veg in mess is allowed.
- Classrooms are decent. OAT and sports complex is quite good. The labs are not up to date. WiFi and LAN speed are good and varies from hostel to hostel.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Jee main is the only criteria for admission to Indian students. Where as for other countries SAT score is needed.
- JEE man entrance exam is required
Academics and Faculty
- Class schedule from 8:30am to 4:30pm. 2 mid sem are taken.
- Quality of teaching is quite good. The breaks between the papers in end term is one of the rare thing which doesn't happen elsewhere.
Fees and Scholarships
- Fees are all same for the NITs.
- Scholarship based on reservation are given in high numbers.
Clubs and Associations
- Societies and clubs are in large numbers ranging to all activities.
- There are festivals and events going all the year at regular intervals.
- Life here is quite interesting.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are to score minimum marks out of 360 in the entrance test. And the entrance test is very well known by non-medical students i.e, JEE-MAINS. Only mains examination is taken into account for admission and not the advance examination. Admission is given purely on merit on the marks scored in the discussed examination. Talking about typical cutoffs, if you have applied in general category you should score a minimum of 170 marks to get admission in the general stream and 200 for computer-related streams. If you have applied in OBC category then 150 and 175 respectively and in SC/ST category it is 110 to 140. The above cutoffs are calculated as average and for least problems, you should score more than this given critirion.
