Placements and Internships
- The placements at IIM Ranchi are improving at a rapid rate. Last year, we had Google coming in for the first year. This year Mahindra War Room has been launched in our campus, so that should open up GMC for us. Our college team won the Deloitte Mavericks competition last year so that should open S&O in our college soon. Currently RPG, Yes Bank, CBS and ICICI Bank are the major recruiterd at the college.
- The average CTC offered was Rs 15.12 lakhs per annum. The college is establishing itself year on year and the future looks good.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- The rooms are very good. We get single rooms, which is a big big advantage.
- The food has been a issue but a new contractor had come up just before we were finishing our graduation. The change was a huge improvement. You are transported between the college and the hostels via buses which are very well managed by the Student Facilities Committee.
- The classes are equipped with all the latest technologies and are very comfortable. There is a Bloomberg terminal in the college. There are many online resources which become essential for projects and research.
Academics and Faculty
- With most of the faculty coming in from IIM Calcutta, the standards are set very high. Industry experts like Professor Sanjay Badhe create not just interest but passion for the course. The Academic Committee works very hard to keep the courses updated and bring in new ones. Last year, Sports and Entertainment marketing was introduced with half the course being taken up by an elite professor from Clayton University.
Fees and Scholarships
- The fees for the course at our time was about Rs 10.5 lakhs, i. e. for the 2 years, For the top notch faculty and the great hostel facilities at Khelgaon, the price is adequate.
- At the first day of college, banks will setup stalls at the college and you can easily check the best option for yourself.

Academics & Faculty : IIM Ranchi since its inception is always trying to create its impact in industry. At IIM Ranchi we get an opportunity to interact with industry leaders of good companies through Colloquium which helps us to get to know about actual industry happenings. We have specialised internal faculty for few courses in first year and for others we get external faculty from IIM C, IIM L, MDI and also consultants working in industry as per their specialisation which gives good platform to learn.
Academics & Faculty : The quality of professors we have in IIM Ranchi is quite great. There are many visiting faculties coming from colleges like IIM Calcutta, MDI Gurgaon, NITIE Mumbai,etc. Various eminent professors like Prof. Jean Dreze, a Belgium-born Indian economist come to address the students of IIM Ranchi. This type of exposure gives an immense opportunity to the students to interact with stalwarts in various fields and learn something from them. That is one of the perks which we enjoy being a student of an IIM.
