Placements and Internships
- The average package for the batch 2014-2016 is around INR 15 lakhs which is a huge improvement from the previous year and the highest package offered is INR 55 lakhs. The whole batch is placed. Various roles such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Banking, IT, etc are offered. Some of the key companies are Google, RPG, YES BANK, ICICI Bank, Deloitte, HT Media, Tolaram , Wipro, Cognizant, BPCL, GAIL, L&T, etc which have offered top-notch profiles to the students.
- We have great Alumni network. Some of our alumni have even started their own startups.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- The housing facility at IIM Ranchi is at par with the best in the world. It consists of separate blocks for girls and boys. IIM Ranchi is one of the few institutes with fully Wi-Fi enabled campus. The housing facility consists of a mix of three bedroom and four bedroom shared flats that are fully furnished, serviced and are installed with five star facilities. It is mandatory for students to avail the hostel facility.
- There is a common area on the first floor (the area where we eat/discuss/gather for informal events/hold group meetings), there is a TV in each block (invariably playing sports/songs), a TT room, a room with a carom-board/chess too, a music room, a gym with all basic equipment.
- Internet through Wi-Fi is also available in college. IIM Ranchi has become part of the National Knowledge Network (NKN) – a state-of-the-art pan-India network implemented by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The NKN provides 1 Gbps connectivity out of which 100 Mbps is allocated for Internet bandwidth and the rest for Intranet bandwidth to provide interuniversity and NKN pool connectivity.
Academics and Faculty
- The quality of professors we have in IIM Ranchi is quite great. There are many visiting faculties coming from colleges like IIM Calcutta, MDI Gurgaon, NITIE Mumbai,etc. Various eminent professors like Prof. Jean Dreze, a Belgium-born Indian economist come to address the students of IIM Ranchi. This type of exposure gives an immense opportunity to the students to interact with stalwarts in various fields and learn something from them. That is one of the perks which we enjoy being a student of an IIM.
Clubs and Associations
- IIM Ranchi held its first management festival- AGON, and it first Sports and Cultural Festival(RUSH). You can also go to the website http://www.agon-iimranchi.com/ to check out the competitions. There are also Futsal(Football League) as well as RPL(Ranchi Premier League- Cricket) and Badminton League.
- Radix- Business Conclave was held this year where students got to interact with various industry stalwarts like Mr. Amit Choudhary, Senior Vice President- Corporate Finance, Snapdeal, Mr. Meesum Kazmi, Director, Analytics Advisory, PwC, etc.
- There are various clubs like Finance, Consulting, Marketing, Operations, Samarpan(CSR Club). IIM Ranchi also has association with Toastmasters International Club whose purpose is to improve communication and public speaking skills of its members.

Academics & Faculty : With most of the faculty coming in from IIM Calcutta, the standards are set very high. Industry experts like Professor Sanjay Badhe create not just interest but passion for the course. The Academic Committee works very hard to keep the courses updated and bring in new ones. Last year, Sports and Entertainment marketing was introduced with half the course being taken up by an elite professor from Clayton University.

At IIM Ranchi we get an opportunity to interact with industry leaders of good companies through Colloquium which helps us to get to know about actual industry happenings. We have specialised internal faculty for few courses in first year and for others we get external faculty from IIM C, IIM L, MDI and also consultants working in industry as per their specialisation which gives good platform to learn.

Academics & Faculty : Each day at IIM Ranchi is quite hectic. There are everyday classes and weekends are usually occupied with projects and assignments. We have the best of the best faculty and the usual way of teaching is case based.
