Placements and Internships

3.5

  • I've done my internship from Rambagh Palace, Jaipur.
  • Mostly hotel chains, QSR chains, airlines, cruisers and event management companies hire from the college.
  • Eventually, there might be a PR company or two.
  • Average salary liesbetween INR 2.5 to INR 3 lacs per annum while highest salary goes to INR 4-4.5 lacs per annum. Usually 100% batch is placed.
  • The college has a very strong alumni network, being one of the oldest colleges in India for hospitality.
  • All the pass outs from senior batches are placed as General Managers, board members of different companies or have their own companies.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3

  • 2 hostels (One for boys and one for girls).Hostel fees is around Rs. 35000 per year inclusive of food and other essentials.
  • PG's and flats are available in nearby localities for around Rs. 5000 per month.
  • The lunch is free and dinner is served in the mess. Lunch is free of cost for all students. Dinner is only consumed by hostelers and is included in hostel fees.
  • The college building is very old and the campus is small as there is no room for expansion. Though labs are equipped with latest in tech, other infrastructure needs an overhaul renovation.
  • There is no college ground for any sports activites however a gym is present.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

  • Classes are from 9:00 .M-5:00 P.M
  • Exams are conducted by the National Council.
  • Assignments in the form of class tests and practicals are conducted on a regular basis.
  • The quality of teaching is amazing in most subjects however lacks in a few side subjects due to new or inexperienced teachers.
  • Method of teaching is great as teachers work more as facilitators.
  • Overall experience is very satisfactory

Fees and Scholarships

5

  • Fees is somewhere around Rs. 90,000/- for two semsters i.e. 1 year.
  • Scholarships are awarded to students performing well in council exams. Exceptionally smart students even end up getting more than what they paid.
  • Different subject toppers get different scholarships. On average 5-6 students.
  • Seeing that it is a government college, fees is not unexpectedly high.
  • Most students manage without any loans.

Clubs and Associations

3

  • The college has a Speaker's Club, Writer's Club etc. and also have various teams like Kitchen team, Service team etc to handle the various events.
  • Main Festival is Amaranth which invites all the IMH's from all over India for a 3 day fest comrising of various events.
  • A sports day is also organised annually.
  • The life in college is not as happening as other colleges but it's a different world on its own

Academics & Faculty : The classes start at 9:00 A.M. and end at 5:00 O.M. This includes a 1 hour lunch break and two 15 minutes tea breaks Exams and assignments are scheduled once in every two months of each subject Since this is a government college, the teaching here is pretty ordinary. You have to run after the teachers for any extra teaching and doubts. Overall it is a decent college. They have fixed timings of entry and exit thereby gates are closed during classes Placements are good and you can end up having a very good job if you are talented.
