Placements and Internships

As I am a first year student I am still trying for intrenship programmes and the college does not help.
Many compines from outside sponsor us during our fests and symposiums.
And the best part our college is the placements. Almost all the students get placed with an average salary of Rs. 3-4 lakhs and highest package here never has a limit, once it went upto Rs. 30 lakh p.a.
The alumni regularly visit the university and give us the best suggestions.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

The infrastructure is okay.
There are total 9 floors.
There are 3 boys hostels.
The food is okay.
The labs and classrooms are maintained in a good condition.

Academics and Faculty

Our day in the college begins at 8 A.m sharp.
The best thing is every class runs for 55 mins which leaves enough time for students to get the topic right as well as for teachers in doing there job well.
Coming to the examination point of view it is the best I have ever experienced and very well conducted.
Best teaching faculty coming all-over from the city and outside the city of Chennai.
I love the seminars specially the guest lectures by eminent personalities.
On the whole I am happy to be part of SRM UNIVERSITY, RAMAPURAM.

Fees and Scholarships

The annual course fee is Rs. 1,80,000.
Apart from that books fee and career development fee both combined cost Rs. 30,000.
The examination fee is around Rs. 6000 for two semesters.
Toppers of a particular department get schlorships, other than that people who excel in sports are also taken into cosideration for scholarship.
Loans are very important for middleclass people (like me).
And it is not that easy to get loans.
I covered almost all the banks in my city and finally got one that to with recommendation.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The entrance exam is pretty easy, any average student can crack SRM JEE. The eligibility criteria for admission in the main campus is 65% PCM aggregate in 12th boards and for rest, campuses are 60%.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : You have to get PCM 70% or above to get admission. Also, You have to write an entrance exam called SRMJEE .Its application form is available on SRM website. If you have a rank within 20000 you can get any department
