Placements and Internships
- I haven't done any internship yet, neither the question of receiving stipend arose as of yet.
- Key company these days include Finance and IT companies.
- Average salary goes up till Rs 8 LPA. Highest Salary goes up till Rs 2 Crore PA. Percentage of batch getting placed is around 70%.
- The Alumni Network of our college is really the best one among any other IIT's.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are a total number of 15 Hostels. The hostel Fees are around INR 30,000 yearly.
- Nobody affords for PG's as it is a fully residential college where you have to stay in hostels.
- Food in college is the best, once again. The cost per meal is Rs 50.
- Quality an Infrastructure of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining hall are much above the average level. We have 24hrs High Speed WiFi and LAN connectivity through out the entire 2,200 acre campus area.
Academics and Faculty
- The class timings have changed and they are appropriate now. Exam and assignments are done in ethical ways.
- The quality and method of teaching is improving day by day. Till now it is some points above average.
- The overall experience in college is the best. I think the experience which my college provides, no other college in India can ever provide.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee per year is INR 1,50,000.
- The scholarship otions mainly include the Merit Cum Means scholarship and the Aditya Birla Scholarship. But the competiton is very huge and a majority of the students fail to receive the advantages of these scholarships.
- Average number of students include 5 out of every 100 student.
- Loans are needed, they are also very easily available from the State Bank of India Branch attached to the college. But the rate of interest of the Educational Loan is pretty high which forces the student to think 10 times before taking the loan.
Clubs and Associations
- There are more than 40 student run societies, clubs and associations on campus.
- Spring Fest is the Social Cultural Fest, Kshitij is the Technology Fest and each and every department has its own fests which goes on around the entire year. On a whole, there remains not a single month which is devoid of fest.
- In general, life in college is incredible. IIT KGP ka Tempo High Hai.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 1) one has to first clear the specific cut off in Jee Main exam (92 percentile) and then have to secure a rank within 12k (all india rank) in jee advanced.In my time there was an additional criteria of 75% in 12th but that was waived off in 2020. 2) First jee main and after clearing the cut off, I took jee advance 3) 4-6 k All india rank

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria is passing jee mains and advance examination. Admission process is done only after clearing jee mains and advance examination with a minimum of 75% in 12th board. Jee is the entrance exam. The cutoff varies ac to different courses eg. cut off for computer science is 120-160
