Academics & Faculty : Nsit is known for it's student friendly curriculum. It aims at teaching students the required skills without undue pressure. Due to this, students have a lot of free time to explore, learn and try their hands on new technologies and skills. Societies are very active and and have been winning many inter-college events. Timings vary in the time frame of 8:30 Am to 6:30pm. The syllabus has been updated from the batch of 2016. I would say faculty is not very good. But some professors are very experienced and always available to help students with their projects. Many professors have international recognition and regularly publish journals. Students are free to take up projects of their choice. Every semester, on an average there are just 5 theory subjects and rest are practical subjects, hence making exams less hectic. But since all professors are not up to the mark, self study is the tool to excel in exams. Yet another thing that is not in favour of nsit is that classrooms are not smart

Academics & Faculty : On an honest remark, the course curriculum is quite outdated for all branches (except for IT), dating back to 90s. And, there's no choice for desired courses, thus making some of the subjects irrelevant to be taught compulsarily. Corresponding to the curriculum, yes, the teaching methodologies are primitive as per the course, but when it comes to teachers, there are some pretty good professors in almost every department who have a profound national reputation. Also, if you are good in some field or carry a passion for something, you can approach the respective professors for guidance or getting under them for projects etc.
