Humming Bird Science Olympiad 2024

Humming Bird Science Olympiad is conducted for students of classes 1 to 12 under different specializations. Besides, Science Olympiad, Humming Bird conducts Social, Mathematics, English, General Knowledge, and the most popular spell bee competition. Students studying in class I to XII under CBSE, ICSE, State Board, or any other recognized board across India are eligible to write Humming Bird Science Olympiad (HSO). Students have to follow the relevant class syllabus to prepare for the exam.

What is Humming Bird Science Olympiad (HSO)?

HSO is the Humming Bird Science Olympiad exam conducted at two levels for students of classes 1 to 12. Students with 75% or above marks in the level 1 examination are qualified for the level 2 exam. Besides, the top ten students of each class (state-wise) and first and second rank holders of each class of all the schools are also eligible for HSO level 2 exams.

HSO 2023 Exam Dates

HSO level 1 exam registration ends by the last week of March 2023, and the results are expected in January 2024. Whereas HSO Level 2 exams will be held in the first week of February 2024 for those students clearing the HSO level 1.

HSO 2024 Registration

Humming Bird registration has two different modes that include registration through school and individual registration. For school registration, students can process the registration with the guidance of the school coordinator. Whereas, for individual registration, students can register directly from the official website.

For HSO school registration, the school coordinator can download the registration forms from the official website or send a request email to Humming Bird for an information brochure. Besides, for individual participation, students should visit the official website and fill in the HSO individual registration form. The HSO registration fee will be INR 200 for national schools and INR 500 for international schools. Payment for HSO 2024 registration can be done online or sent in the form of a Demand Draft via post.

HSO 2024 Exam Pattern

HSO comprises multiple-choice questions in which the students have to choose the correct option out of four choices. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answer or unanswered questions.

Students will find 30 subject-based questions and 20 intelligence-based questions designed to test their higher-order thinking skills with a total exam time of 50 minutes.

HSO 2024 Syllabus

Humming Bird Science Olympiad focuses on science on daily life, physical components, environment, human body, etc. The mode and difficulty level of the exam varies for higher and lower classes. The syllabus helps students by bringing them face to face with the topics on which questions will be asked.

HSO 2024 syllabus is available as free books and pdf files. The mobile applications contain a large number of audio and video tutorials that students can use.

HSO 2024 Admit Card

HSO 2024 admit card can be downloaded from the official website. Students can log in to Humming Education's student profile using their HSO registration number as username and password.

Students will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without a hall ticket. Students are requested to have a hard copy of the admit card during the entire duration of the exam.

HSO 2024 Results

HSO results are available on the official website of Humming Bird. Results will also be sent to the respective schools by email and as hard copies. Students can inquire the school coordinator about the results.

The result will not be displayed if the student has filled in an incorrect registration number in the OMR sheet. Such students may contact the school authorities for their results. Candidates will also receive a participation/rank holder certificate and a student's performance report along with the HSO 2024 result.

Key Changes in HSO 2024

The HSO 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 2 different dates in November and December. Schools can choose their date of choice. Interested candidates can write the exam after they register themselves 30 days before the exam. The HSO 2024 will be conducted online as a computer-based exam. The results of the exam will be released in January and March 2024.
