SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2023

Tier I and Tier II exams are conducted online. All the Tier Exams are conducted on different dates as per the SCC CGL 2020 Scheduled dates. SSC has reduced the time limit for the Tier I examination from 75 minutes to 60 minutes. The time limit for SSC CGL Tier II exam 2023 will remain the same.

Structure: Introduced a descriptive paper of 100 marks for 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.

Cut-off criteria: There is no Sectional cut-off.

Note: All students must verify whether they satisfy all the Eligibility Criteria of SSC CGL Exam before beginning to prepare for the exam.

SSC CGL Tier I Exam Pattern 2023

SSC CGL is a computer-based online test of 200 marks with 60-minute duration. There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer. There is no sectional cut-off.

Only those candidates who qualify the Tier-I are eligible to write Tier- II. This is an online-based examination consisting of 4 papers as mentioned in the table. There is no sectional cut off. 

Marking Scheme: The negative marking for each wrong answer is as follows:

Paper I, III & IV – 0.5 marks.

Paper II – 0.25 marks

SSC CGL Tier IV Exam Pattern 2023

SSC CGL Tier-IV exam is Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)/Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). This test is of a qualifying nature. The DEST test is for the Tax Assistant Post only.

Merit List: The merit list will be prepared for the overall performance of the student in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III but you have to qualify all the tiers separately.
