SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2023 should be met by the candidates before filling out the SSC CGL 2023 exam application form. Only eligible candidates can apply for this exam. In case, if any misleading would be found by the authority in the SSC CGL application form, it would be rejected without a second thought. SSC CGL 2022 Eligibility Criteria is broadly divided based on nationality, education, and age limit.

SSC CGL 2023 Academic Qualification

Here, every post has different SSC CGL eligibility criteria 2023 and based on the level of the post the bifurcation is done. So for each post as mentioned below the candidate must have completed the appropriate degree to be qualified to attempt this exam.

  • Assistant Audit Officer: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II: This post requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at the 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects.
  • Compiler: A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as a subject.
  • All other posts: Candidates should have a Bachelors's degree from a recognized university or institute. For posts of Assistant Section Officer in CSS, a Computer Proficiency Test is also required.

SSC CGL 2023 Nationality Eligibility

As per prescribed SSC CGL eligibility criteria 2023, a candidate's nationality must fall under any of the following mentioned aspects: 

A candidate must be either of the following.

  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal
  • A subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement,
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement.
