SSC CGL 2019 Eligibility

Exam Date : 4th June 2019 To 19th July 2019

Candidates have to meet the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria before filling the SSC CGL 2019 Exam Application form to register for the exam. SSC CLG 2019 Eligibility Criteria is broadly divided on the basis of nationality, education and age limit. 

If a candidate has fulfilled all the prescribed criteria then he or she can very well start the preparation by having a look at the SSC CGL Exam Pattern.

SSC CGL Eligibility Classification

A person who is eligible for SSC CGL Exam must have fulfilled the following criteria which are broadly divided into the following headers. 

SSC CGL Academic Qualification

In here, based on the level of the post the bifurcation is done. So for each post as mentioned below the candidate must have completed the appropriate degree to be qualified to attempt this exam.

  • Assistant Audit Officer: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

  • Statistical Investigator Grade II:  This post requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at the 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects.

  • Compiler: A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as a subject.

  • All other posts: Candidates should have a Bachelors degree from a recognized university or institute. For posts of Assistant Section Officer in CSS, Computer Proficiency Test is also required. 

SSC CGL Age Limit Qualification

Same as the academic criterion the age limit for each post differs and it is clearly tabulated below. SSC CGL strictly follows this age limit mentioned.

SSC CGL Nationality Eligibility

As per prescribed SSC CGL Eligibility, a candidate's nationality must fall under any of the following mentioned aspects: 

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India

  • A subject of Nepal

  • A subject of Bhutan

  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement,

  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement.
