• For candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile.
• Regarding candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks shall be at the 45th percentile. The percentile shall be determined based on the highest scaled scores secured in the All-India common merit list in 'National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses.

NEET MDS 2024 Cutoff

Validity: The validity of NEET MDS 2024 results shall be only for the current admission session, i.e. 2024 admission session for MDS courses and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions for MDS courses.

• The mark sheet-cum-result certificate for NEET-MDS 2024 examination – All India 50% Quota can be downloaded from the website after the result declaration.
• As per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, a total of five times the number of seats available for allotment or all qualified candidates, whichever is less, and only these candidates will be given a chance to participate in online counselling (allotment process) for All India 50% quota seats.
• It is further clarified that a candidate may qualify NEET MDS 2024 results as per the criteria mentioned but is not in the list of candidates eligible for counselling for All 50% quota seats following provisions.
• However, such a candidate is eligible to be considered for counselling for State quota seats following applicable Regulation and /or their qualifying criteria, applicable guidelines, and state reservation policies.
• Candidates securing less than 50% percentile (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45% in case of PH candidates) in the Entrance Examination will not be considered for admission, and their names will not be included in the merit list (List of qualified candidates).

• State Quota/ Private Dental Colleges/Deemed University/AFMS rank: State quota rank, state category rank, a benefit for In-service candidates, rural posting(if applicable), etc. shall be determined/generated by the designated agency/authority of the concerned States/university/concerned authority as per applicable Regulation and/or their eligibility criteria, guidelines, and applicable reservation policies.

NEET MDS 2024 Tie Breaking Rules

Mentioned below are the applied clauses when two or more candidates secure the same marks in NEET MDS 2024 results.

• NEET MDS Candidates with fewer incorrect answers in the overall paper will get a higher merit position.
• If the above condition is the same for concerned candidates, the candidate with a higher score in Section B of NEET MDS exam paper will get a higher rank.
• If the marks do not break the tie in section B of NEET MDS, the accuracy attained by the candidate will be checked, which means the candidate with a lesser number of incorrect answers will get the better rank.
• In case the tie still prevails, the final criteria are the age; the older candidate in age will get a higher rank in NEET MDS.

NEET MDS 2024 Reservation Criteria

• If a reserved candidate qualifies for the General category as per the merit list, they will be counted as a General candidate.
• In pursuance of the Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008 and according to detailed instructions of the Ministry of Human Resource Development vide their O.M. No. 1-1/2005-UI A/847 dated 20th April 2008 Ministry of Health & FW has decided to implement OBC reservation in All India Quota in a phased manner on the pro-rata basis regarding seats being contributed to the All India Quota by the Central Education Institutions only from the academic year 2009.
• To maintain the exact percentage of OBC seats, some of the Institutes decrease or increase OBC seats in the alternate year without disturbing the total Number of seats.
• There is a 3% horizontal reservation for Physically Challenged persons also (only for locomotor disabilities of lower limbs between 50% to 70% provided that in case any seat in this 3% quota remains unfilled on account of unavailability of candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70 % then any such unfilled seat in this 3% quota shall be filled up by persons with locomotor disability of lower limbs between 40% to < 50% before they are included in the seats of respective category) in 50% All India PG Quota seats.

• In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the test, their merit will be determined according to age; older will get preference over younger.
• There is no provision for rechecking/ re-evaluation/ re-totalling of the result/ score, and no query in this regard will be entertained.
• The state quota seats and the seats in private dental colleges/universities shall also be filled by utilizing the result of NEET-MDS. The respective state government /private Dental colleges/universities, including the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, shall not be conducting any entrance exam at their level.

What After NEET MDS Result 2024?

After the declaration of the NEET MDS result 2024, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct the NEET MDS counselling 2024 for the qualified candidates. The counselling will be announced on the official website, and eligible candidates must register on MCC official website to participate in the counselling session.

Students have to fill in their preferences for courses and colleges based on their score, rank, merit position, and other criteria. Seats will be allotted, and students will be instructed to report to the allotted institute within the given time and pay the admission fee.
