XISS, Ranchi provides PGDM courses in various specializations for a duration of 2 years on a full-time basis. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with specialization like Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Finance, Marketing, and Information Technology are available in XISS, Ranchi. It is a full-time programme provided for a duration of 2 academic years and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education.

To seek admission to the PGDM programme, the applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university. The institution gives preference to the candidates with graduation in Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science along with relevant work experience. The basic eligibility criteria for PGDM admission is to pass three/ four years undergraduate degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST) from any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. Those appearing for final year or final semester of graduation in 2020-2021 are also eligible to apply. Those applicants, if called for interview must submit the copy of admit card or letter from the Principal of the college where they studied. The eligibility criteria remains the same for them. Candidates seeking PGDM admission at Xavier Institute of Social Service will also have to appear in an all India-level management admission test.

Xavier Institute of Social Service Selection Process

Xavier Institute of Social Service admission accepts only online registration. XISS application forms are available from September 16, 2020. XISS admission process is as per AICTE guidelines. Eligible candidatates must register through the XISS admission application window. The registration fee can be paid online using Credit/ Debit/ ATM cards/ Online Banking, etc. The application fee once paid is non-refundable. Candidates who clear cut-off criteria for entrance test will be shortlisted and will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD&PI). The interview is conducted face to face in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Ranchi (Due to the prevailing COVID condition, interviews are conducted online). Based on the performance in GDPI round, admissions are offered to successful candidates. The final shortlisting is done based on a diverse set of attributes which include:

  • Past academic record (20% weightage)
  • Performance in entrance tests (40% weightage)
  • Performance in Group Discussion (10% weightage)
  • Performance in Personal Interview (30% weightage)

XISS Ranchi Admission Seat Intake

The total number of seats availbale for PGDM programme is seventy five (75) each in Rural Management and Human Resource Management. Sixty (60) each in Information Technology, Finance and Marketing Management. 

XISS Ranchi Seat Reservation

Forty percent (40%) seats are reserved for ST/ SC and Christian candidates (Other than ST/ SC). The break-up of the 40% is as follows:

  • ST-26%
  • SC-6%
  • Christians 8%

Note: If adequate number of candidates from the said categories are not available then those seats will be filled up from among the applicants belonging to the unreserved category.
