Vignan's Institute of Information Technology was established in 2002 in the City of Destiny, Visakhapatnam. The college aims to be a leader in technical education and aim at national excellence by creating socially and competent conscious technical manpower for the current and future industry requirements and development of the nation. VIIT was established in the year 2002 in Visakhapatnam [Andhra Pradesh]. The college introduces the innovative practices of teaching-learning which helped in establishing a high standard And this is also the major reason for the success of this institution. It undertakes the research and development in the thrust areas.

The cell continuously collaborates with the industry to bring in good placement opportunities to the students. Vignan's Institute of Information Technology offers dynamic campus life when students wish to do something they will be having a lot of opportunities and there will be professional guides who will be guiding them in each and every aspect. Vignan's Institute of Information Technology Admission 2024

VIIT is an autonomous institute and is accredited 'A' by National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC]. It facilitates B.tech, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. Vignan's Institute of Information Technology, Visakhapatnam admission can be done on the official college website. The institute has the vision to be recognized as a leader in technical education. Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology offers B.Tech courses in a number of specializations. Vignan's Institute of Information Technology admission also offers M.Tech, MBA and MCA programs. The annual intake for UG courses is 1140 and for M.Tech, the intake is 126 students. For MBA and MCA courses, the annual intake is 120 and 60, respectively. Applications for all the courses have to be submitted online. Admissions to B.Tech and M.Tech are based on candidates’ rank in  Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) and Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET), respectively. For MBA and MCA, admissions will be conducted through the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted at the state level.

The selection is based on the candidates’ rank in AP-EAMCET. The seat allotment is made by Convener, EAMCET as per the stipulated rules of A.P State Government. Candidates will be called for counselling AP-EAMCET  on the basis of the ranks secured by the candidates in the rank list. The eligibility for B.Tech normal and lateral entry (Diploma & B.Sc holder) both is a minimum of 45% in the previous examinations. The fees for B.Tech course is around INR 57,300/- per annum.

Vignan's Institute of Information Technology offers M.Tech programs in various specializations and also offers an MCA and MBA. They offer 8 different specializations in M.Tech. The student needs to have a minimum qualification of a graduate so as to apply for the postgraduate program.

Candidates seeking admission to the first semester of the Master's Degree programme must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtain at least 50% marks in the same. MCA course fee at Vignan's Institute of Information Technology is INR 34,600 per annum. MBA and M.Tech have course fee of INR 30,000 per annum and INR 57,000 per annum.

Candidates seeking admission to various programmes such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA can apply online through the college website. The steps to follow for the VIIT application process are as follows:

• The candidates need to go to the official college website and go to the admission tab to download the application form for the particular course.
• The candidates are required to fill the application form and post it to the college after attesting the passport size photos.
• Along with the application fees in the form of the demand draft of INR 1500/-. After some time the candidates will receive the application confirmation through email for admission in Vignan's Institute of Information Technology, Visakhapatnam.
• The candidates before applying for the college should fill the application form for the exams of the centre which is conducted every year.
• The candidates then can download the admit cards for appearing the particular exams in the year of admission.
• The admission to most of the courses is done based on the performance of the candidates in the centre-based entrance exams conducted every year.
• After the results come out, the college releases an application form for the admission to the particular course and the interested candidates can apply for the course.
• The college selects the candidates on the basis of the merit list prepared on the basis of the entrance exam results and the eligibility criteria. In the case of outer state candidates, the preference will be given to the centre-based exam results like GATE.
• The admission fee for various programmes will be based on VIIT fee structure.
