Academics & Faculty :
Utkal university provides great learning experience to students since 1943. Since I study Integrated MBA in utkal university, i want to share my experience here. The daily routine consists of 4 classes of 1 hr each and a break of 30 mins. The classes generally start from 8 am to 12:30 pm. As the integrated MBA is a 5 yrs programme, so it consists of 10 semesters of 6 months duration each. the classes are conducted by experienced faculties and some guest faculties from reputed colleges of India like XIMB.
The method of teaching is by projector focussing so that it becomes easier for students to understand the subject easily. There are various assignments and projects given to students from time to time to judge the understanding level of students. the placement cell of IMBA is quite good. Various reputed companies and banks like ICICI,TCS,WIPRO and CAPGEMINI visit the university to recruit the students.
My experience in IMBA programme at Utkal university is quite good.
Fees & Scholarships :
Course fees of IMBA programme-
1st yr-Rs.30000/-per annum
2nd yr-Rs.30000/-per annum
3rd yr-Rs.30000/-per annum
4th yr-Rs.40000/-per annum
5th yr-Rs.40000/-per annum
TOTAL FEES-Rs.170000/-per annum
The college doesnot have any scholarship options for IMBA programme. However, there are various govt. scholarships like Medhabruti and Prerana which the merituos students can avail easily.
Approx,80-85% students get govt. scholarships every year.
Students can also avail study loans from various banks. However the university doesnot help the students to get loans as the course fee is quite low as compared to other colleges.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
The University, though not a completely residential one, provides residential facilities to the students in the hostels. All the hostels are supervised by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent and coordinated by THE WARDEN.
