Utkal University scholarships are offered to students for various reasons ranging from merit to socio-economic background. Although UU Bhubaneswar does not provide direct scholarships, various government scholarships are accepted. The scholarships allow students equal educational opportunities despite their financial status or category.

Students are encouraged to check for the eligibility criteria and then apply for the relevant scholarships for which they are eligible. Detailed information regarding the recent Utkal University scholarship 2023 is listed in the table below.

PRERANA Scholarship	This Utkal University scholarship is awarded to students belonging to reserved category students like SC/ST and other Backward Classes.	This Utkal University scholarship is eligible for students belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories. Students must be permanent residents of Orissa. The family income should be less than INR 2.5 LPA.	For SC and ST students: INR 550 for day scholars and INR 1200 for hostellers. For OBC and EBC students: INR 350 for day scholars and INR 750 for hostellers.
Medhabruti Scholarship	This Utkal University scholarship is awarded to students on the basis of their merit.	This scholarship is eligible for students from class 12 to PG levels. Students must score above 60% in their class 10 examination. The family income should be less than INR 6 LPA.	Up to INR 10,000 per annum.
Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities	Utkal University Bhubaneswar students belonging to minority communities as recognised by the Government are eligible for this scholarship. These include Muslims, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs and Parsis.	This Utkal University scholarship is eligible for class 12 to PG level students. Students must score above 50% in their previous examinations. The family income should be less than INR 2 LPA.	Scholarship- INR 3000 per annum. Maintenance- INR 570 monthly for Hostellers and INR 300 monthly for Day Scholars.
Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University students	This Utkal University scholarship is to help students from financially backward families pursue their academic careers without any financial hurdles.	The student must be in the top 20th percentile in their respective class 12 boards. The family income should be less than INR 8 LPA. Students must pursue a UG/PG course under a recognised board/university. Diploma students are not eligible.	Up to INR 20,000 per annum until completion of course.
Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities	The Utkal University scholarship is for students with disabilities under the Government of India to financially support disabled students studying from class 11 to PG degrees.	The Utkal University Bhubaneswar students must have more than 40 per cent disability. The overall family income should not exceed INR 2.5 LPA. The UU Bhubaneswar student must be pursuing a degree or diploma course. More than two students with disabilities from the same family (same parents) are not encouraged to apply.	Visually impaired- INR 4000 Hearing impaired- INR 2000 Physically Disabled- INR 2000 Intellectual Disability- INR 4000 Other disabilities- INR 2000
DST Inspire Scholarship	Utkal University Bhubaneswar students are awarded this scholarship based on their merit under Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE).	The student must be between 17 to 22 years and should have scored the top 1% in their respective board exams. The UU Bhubaneswar student must pursue science courses like BSc, BS or integrated MSc/MS courses.	INR 80,000 per annum
PG Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship	This Utkal University scholarship is awarded to students who are the only girl child in their family (no siblings).	The Utkal University Bhubaneswar student must be 30 years or less of age. The student must pursue a full-time PG course. The UU Bhubaneswar student must be the only child in the family with no siblings.	INR 36,200 for 2 years (or the duration of the PG course)
