Sports : Symbiosis lays a great emphasis on sports and games considering the fact that ‘A sound mind resides in a sound body. Sports Facilities : State of the art, sports infrastructure has been created on the campus which includes the following
A gymnasium at Hill Base campus with modern equipment including computerized treadmills and other exercises.
A similar gymnasium at the Hill Top Campus.
Facilities for indoor games like table tennis, badminton, squash on the Hill top Campus. Facilities for table tennis, squash and other indoor games are available on the Hill Base Campus also.
Swimming pool on the Hill Top Campus.
A state of the art Cricket ground with flood lights on the Hill Top Campus.
A vast multipurpose ground for Cricket and Foot ball on the Hill Base campus.
Basket Ball Court on the Hill Top Campus.
Lawn Tennis Courts are coming up on the Hill Base Campus.
Sports Activities : Sports activities at Symbiosis are very well organized under the leadership of Dr.Ashish Phulkar,Deputy Director sports. There is a sports council at the University level which includes one faculty member and some students from each Symbiosis Institute. A sports calendar is made in the beginning of the year which includes the following.
Inter Institute tournament in various outdoor and Indoor sports and games.
Formation of University teams for Inter University tournaments and participation in this tournament.
One institute is given responsibility of hosting competitions in one or more sports. In addition to all above marathons and run for freedom are organized at the level of Symbiosis International University. At Symbiosis Institute of Technology, interclass tournament called Protathlitis is also organized in which students participate whole heartedly. To encourage sports, sports scholarships are given for achievements. The University has 20 libraries across all its campuses. The collections at all the Libraries are the result of more than forty years of continuing commitment by librarians, faculty, students, and private donors to build one of the best libraries in India. The library directly supports the Research and instructional needs of the University, while also serving as a custodian of culture and discovery.
The collection of more than 2 lac books, supports current University Programmes and those areas of Research which will be needed by future scholars. Library is one of the core foundation upon which a student's education is built and form the cornerstone of University Research efforts. Students and all other library users are encouraged to give their suggestions for purchasing any books. Most of the libraries have subscriptions to online databases / periodicals such as EBSCO, EMERALD, DOWN TO EARTH (e-version), HBR, GBR, DELNET, PROWESS, BCRC, CMI, DATANET etc. All the libraries have state of the art modern infrastructure where the atmosphere and environment is condusive for learning. Students make the optimum usage of these facilities and the library resources to the fullest.

Collection on personality development:- Library is preparing collection on various subjects like aptitude test, autobiographies, general Knowledge etc. which will help the student to improve their personality. Inter Library Loan (ILL):- Books not available in the library can be procured on loan from other libraries. Library Rules
The normal loan period for books is one week. Students can get two books at a time for seven days.
Borrowers have to produce their own library cards when borrowing Library materials.
No books or library materials may be brought out of the library until the loan has been recorded.Unauthorised removal of library materials is regarded as a very serious offence.
Currents issues of journals/magazines are to be used only in the library.
Reference material to be used only in the library. Audio visual material to be used in the library or in the computer lab.
Overdue books – Books must be returned by the due date or earlier, if recalled by the librarian. Failure to return a book by the date specified will be treated as an offence.
Fine imposed on borrowers for late return of books is Rs.5/-per day.
Loss or damage of books – Students should check the books before getting these issued. At the time of return if the books are torn or pages are missing, the borrower will have o make up for the damage. A borrower is allowed to either replace the lost or damaged book or has to pay twice the market price of the book. All books replaced in this manner must be of the latest edition. If the book is one of a set or series, the whole set or series has to be replaced.
General Rules
Consumption of food is not permitted in the library.
No materials like bags, umbrellas, parcels, mobile phones etc, are allowed in the library. Adequate storage facility has been provided at the entrance to the library for these materials. However files and books may be brought into the library.
On leaving the library, users are required to show books and other items being taken out of the library.
Silence has to be observed in the library.
Students must be decently dressed and conduct themselves properly in the library.
The library staff on duty has the right to request a user to leave the library premises if he / she is found to be violating any of the library rules.
The library will not accept any responsibility for the loss or misplacement of personal belongings.
