Eligibility Criteria for MSc:

M.Sc Botany:

• The applicants passing the B.Sc. Degree from Universities other than Mumbai University and seeking admissions to First Year

• A candidate for being eligible for admission to the M.Sc. Degree in Botany should have passed the B.Sc in the same specialization.

• B.Sc. Botany from any other University recognized as equivalent thereto for St. Xavier College, Mumbai admissions 

M.Sc Biotechnology / M.Sc Microbiology :

• The applicants have to qualify B.Sc. Biotechnology (3-year integrated course) degree examination of Mumbai University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto, with at least 6 units in Biotech (i.e. minimum required for majoring in the subject). 

• With three units in Biotechnology at the T.Y.B.Sc in combination with three units of any other major subject at the T.Y.B.Sc

M.Sc Geology :

• Applicants passing the B.Sc. Degree from Universities other than Mumbai University and seeking admissions to First Year

• The esteemed M.Sc. Courses are required to apply for a Provisional Eligibility Certificate through the College at the time of admission. 

• The application form is available at the College Office, duly filled in should be submitted with an attested copy of the B.Sc.

• Graduates with a degree from a recognised University / College with the major subject as Geology (6 units in Geology at the T.Y. B.Sc) can apply.

• Graduates from colleges affiliated to other Universities (other than Mumbai) will need the eligibility certificate from the University of Mumbai.

M.Sc Life Science :

• Graduates in Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science, Microbiology, Zoology from the University of Mumbai are all eligible.

• Graduates in any of the above-mentioned disciplines from another Indian University are eligible but will have to submit a provisional eligibility certificate.

Admission Procedure:

• M.Sc. in Botany, Biotechnology, Geology, Life Sciences and Microbiology the College has an Online Application System through a facility on its website.
• This facility is made available from second half of May. An incomplete application will not be considered for admission
