Roorkee College of Engineering Roorkee was established in the year 2010. The institute is approved by the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Ministry of Huma Resource Development [MHRD], and AICTE and is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University and Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University.

The aim of the institute is to deliver excellent quality education in the field of engineering, science, and pharmacy. RCE has a strong vision in mind to become one of the best educational institutions in the nation and help each and every student achieve their goal and become role models in society. 

The campus of Roorkee College of Engineering is spread in a sprawling campus of 25 acres which also conceals state-of-the-art hostels for both boys and girls. RCE B.Tech:

The institute provides Bachelors in Engineering in the field of technology. The duration of the course is four years. The specializations offered in the field are Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Electricals Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. The aim of the college is to help students gain all the knowledge in the field of science and engineering.

RCE M.Tech:

The duration of the course is two years. The specialization offered in the course are Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering.

• Candidate scoring more than 60% in 10th or 12th shall be eligible for a college scholarship with a tuition fee waiver of 25% in the first year only if the candidate's parents belong from Army/ Teachers/ Farmers/ Freedom Fighters/ RCEians siblings/ Uttrakhand domicile.
• Scholarship of 75% on tuition fees only in the first year will be provided to the first top ten toppers of ICSE/ CBSE/ State Board.
• Candidates having 60 percent or more marks in Diploma/ B.Sc are eligible for scholarships with tuition fees waiver of 10% for B.Tech Lateral Entry.
• Female Candidates will be getting scholarships of INR 10,000 in every course that will be provided by the institution.
• Candidate from M.Tech background will be given scholarships.

The institute also offers educational loans as well. Education Loans are provided to the students whose parent's income is less than INR 4,00,000 per annum. These loans cover hostel fees, tuition fees, laptops, book costs, etc. Vidya Lakshmi is an education loan portal developed under the guidance of the Department of Financial Services. The students can apply for education loans and track them from this portal.

Roorkee College of Engineering Facilities:

Roorkee College of Engineering has all the facilities required for the growth of students in an academic environment. The classrooms are surrounded by lush trees and such an environment is nowhere to be seen in India. The facilities are consist of classrooms which are designed to be spacious and are well-furnished. The students get the opportunity of learning in natural light and it offers the most conducive environment.

All the classrooms are equipped with CCTV cameras, LCD projectors, podiums, etc. All the classrooms have an area of 75 square meters and have a capacity of holding 75 students. The rooms are designed in such a way that seminars, presentations, and lectures can be carried out easily.

The central library of the institute has a collection of thousands of books by prominent authors. Along with the academic books, the library also has journals, databases, general knowledge handbooks, yearbooks, reference books, and many more. It has a subscription to numerous national and multinational journals and magazines. The library is well-furnished and has a seating capacity of 150 students at a time in the reading hall.

The digital library of the institute has over 3,000 e-books. The library also has a reference library built in an area of 400 square meters with books in engineering and technology, social sciences, humanities, and basic sciences. The main aim of the library is to meet the growing needs of the students and provide them with resources.

The campus of Roorkee College of Engineering is equipped with high-speed internet connectivity. It has a network of optical fiber cable throughout the campus including the hostels. Wi-Fi facility is also offered to the students throughout the campus and is not restricted to just classrooms. The internet speed at the campus is 100 Mbps. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not only restricted to classrooms but also extends to all the areas including the library, hostels, and cafeteria. 

The institute also has a cafeteria that is air-conditioned and well maintained by the institute authority members. Apart from academic excellence the institute also focuses on overall performance as well. The college sports facilities include a cemented basketball court, lawn tennis court, volleyball court, shuttle badminton court, football court, cricket court, and athletic field and gymnasium facilities. 

RCE also provides indoor facilities for table tennis, caroms, and chess. Students will be under the supervision of trainers/ coaches during the events. The institute also provided transportation and medical facilities as well.
