Latest Update for NIST University (NIST Behrampur), Odisha
XAT 2026 registration has begun today, July 10, 2025. The last date to fill out the application form online is December 5, 2025. The exam is scheduled to be held on January 4, 2026. The exam pattern and syllabus remain unchanged from last year. Both new applicants and previously registered users can log in to complete the application process.
Established in 1996, NIST University, located at Institute Park, Berhampur, Odisha, is the first NRI-promoted higher education institution in the state, founded by the SM Charitable Educational Trust. The Trust was established in 1995 by Dr. Sukant K. Mohapatra and Ms. Sanjeeta Mohapatra—both US-based NRIs—with a vision to create a world-class institute in their home state.
Situated on a 65-acre lush green campus in the scenic hills of Pallur, NIST has evolved into a premier research and academic institution in India. Admission forms for NIST University are available on the official website. Interested candidates must download the application form, fill in the required details accurately, and submit it to the university's address. Admissions to all programs are based on merit and valid entrance examination scores.
Applicants must have passed the 12th Board Examinations with a minimum of 45% marks.
A valid OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) score is also considered for admission.
Candidates should hold a B.Sc., B.Com., or B.A. degree with Mathematics as a subject at either the 10+2 or graduation level.
A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree is required.
