The college presently offers a few postgraduate courses which are M.Tech, MCA and MBA. The college offers M.Tech in various specializations. The mode of admission to the M.Tech program is based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), for candidates who have not written the GATE exam are supposed to go through the online test OJEE.

For admission to postgraduate programs candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirements as prescribed by the College. All admissions are made strictly under the college rules in force at the time of admission. The admission for M.Tech is based on GATE Score. Non-GATE candidates are required to appear at an On-line Test, GATE candidates are exempted from this test. GATE qualified candidates pass or appear in MCA examination from a recognized university with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks only for M. Tech in Computer Science and Computer science & IT branches.

Admission to NIST is done based on JEE for B.Tech. To facilitate students who have not appeared JEE Main a special OJEE is being organized on 25th July. Any graduate with a pass or appearing in OJEE / CMAT / MAT / CAT / XAT are eligible to take admission in a two-year full-time M.B.A. program with a minimum of 50% at graduation ( +3) level.
