Here the students conduct door to door visits in different rural and urban community areas. The students conduct health surveys & collect important health information from all the family members. They also do the comprehensive health assessment of the people which provide a preliminary screening for major problems. They organize health talks for the community after assessing their needs and make the common people aware about various measures for health promotion and disease prevention.

The student participate in Pulse Polio Programs and other Health Awareness Camps organized by department of health and family welfare by govt. of H.P

The institute also organizes various educational visits for the real practical exposure of the students to the areas like CRI, Kasauli, Water treatment plant, Sewage treatment plant, Milk treatment plant, Leprosy hospital, TB Sanatorium, blind school, old age homes etc.

Hostel
 
The institute provides spacious and well ventilated hostel rooms attached with balcony to the students in a freshly and newly build building equipped with all the modern facilities, well furnished rooms are provided to the students on sharing basis.
