The placements season for our batch was unparalleled. About 80 percent of the students, who sat for placements, got placed. The highest package was of INR 29 lakhs per annum which was also the highest package in the University of Delhi. The lowest was about INR 2.4 lakhs per annum. The average package was INR 6.4 lakhs of annum. The companies that visited campus included Parthenon, McKinsey & Co., BCG, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Grofers, Vmock, Citi, etc. The roles that were offered ranged from that of an analyst, consultant, data analyst, etc.
The placement cell is professionally executed. However, the placement process is restrictive and biased in the sense that students are categorised and made to sit for placements based on their discipline, not interests and abilities. Like only corporates come for economics and commerce, completely neglecting the fact that students of these disciplines might be interested in other fields too, fields as variable as wildlife protection, editing, journalism, etc.
There are various companies visiting the campus for internships like HC, Mazzares. Etc. The average package is up to INR 9 to 10 lakhs p.a and the highest was INR 18 lakhs and the alumina network is very efficient.
There are no internships available. Companies that hire from our campus are Standard Chartered, Nomura, etc. The average salary package offered is Rs.7.5 LPA.
The placement cell of the college has succeeded in getting some top notch companies in the college, and now the recruiters include some big names like McKinsey, Bain Capability Center, IMS Health, AbInbev, all the big fours, etc. The average package was around INR 5 lakhs p.a.
