Placements & Internships : BSc students don't get direct placements from campus but MSc students do get. Almost all MSc students get placed in high salary jobs related to zoological field like forest department, health and sanitation department, marine resources department, wildlife biologist department and many more. The alumni association is very great. We also have frequent career guidance lectures given by experts of that particular field.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I'm pursuing a bachelor's degree in Zoology field from KJ Somaiya College of Science and Commerce. The eligibility criteria required for the admission was 60% and above in HSC examination. There was no entrance exam as such. The typical cut off ranged from 70% to 90% when I was taking admission. Also you need not worry if you're not selected in the cut off rounds because of Somaiya holds second phase of admission also. So chances are that you will be selected in the second phase of your marks remained a little less for the first phase.

Fees & Scholarships : The fee for BSc ranges from 10,000 to 12,000. The scholarships are available to students belonging to minority groups. Merit-based scholarships are also available. All the students who apply for scholarship get it. Loans are not needed as such because the fees are affordable.

Academics & Faculty : The classes start early in the morning at 7:00 for TY and FY. For SY, they start late in the morning at 9:50. Every student has to complete a 75% attendance compulsorily. The project is also compulsory for all students because it gives you extra marks. The quality of teaching is good. The professors share their experiences and some tricks and important points that help during viva and exams. The overall experience is very great. You'll have amazing teachers with the lush green very big campuses. Somaiya has the largest campus in the whole Mumbai!

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2-3 hostels available in the college campus with reasonable fees. The college canteen provides pure veg and healthy food. Somaiya has 3 canteens with a Maggie house. The cost of food is very affordable. The classrooms are well ventilated with proper light and fan facilities. The labs are also well maintained. The labs are always kept clean. The college provides free WiFi. Also, there is an elevator facility available in college so you don't get tired of climbing upstairs. There are restrooms and washrooms available on alternate floors. The filtered water supply is available on every floor. A gymkhana and girl's common room also can be found.

Clubs & Associations : The students studying in various departments come together each year to celebrate the annual day of college with great enthusiasm and determination. On-campus association includes cultural forum groups. The zoology department has zorilla team. The festivals are the main attraction for all the students. Zoology department organizes the Zorilla fest every year. This is an inter-college fest. The cultural forum organizes the Surabhi fest which is an intra college fest. The life in Somaiya is just outstanding. The teachers motivate you to do so many things apart from studies. The crowd is very good at Somaiya. I've made the best friends for life in Somaiya. The college campus and canteen are surreal.
