Placements & Internships : Final year students must complete four weeks of internship before attending the final semester exams as per the new norms introduced by Visvesvaraya Technological University. Until the 2020 batch, we were to search for internships on our own. But we do get recommendations and suggestions from the faculty as well. Usually, the training does not come with any stipend. Talking of the placements, JNNCE has many companies visiting every year like TCS, SLK, COGNIZANT, WIPRO, GLOBAL EDGE, JARO. The average salary was about 2 LPA, and the highest salary was about 8 LPA

Entrance Exams & Admissions : To join JNNCE, one has to have a minimum of 50% aggregate in their 12/PUC. Admissions are made based on Govt. conducted exams such as CET and COMEDK, or even management seats are also available. Visiting the college would give you a much clearer idea about the college fee structure.

Fees & Scholarships : Course fees at Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering, Shimoga are as prescribed by KEA. They provide many scholarships like Kar-Pass, MHRD, etc.

Academics & Faculty : College timings are usually from 7:30 to 5:30, which varies based on the timetable provided. Exams are conducted as per the timetables and guidelines provided by the university. They have the most qualified and experienced faculty members.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering, Shimoga has separate accommodations for girls as well as for boys hostels. The boys hostel is inside the college, and for girls, it is outside about 2-3 kms from the college. Catering is quite good here. They do have the best-equipped labs, but the campus is not wifi enabled.

Clubs & Associations : They have many clubs in college like students club where students get to choose a topic of their interest and get a chance of learning various aspects about them. They have Branch-wise forums for conducting various activities. Every year during the even-semester college day is celebrated. Life in JNNCE is fun.
