The application form can be obtained in both online and offline mode. The application form can be obtained from the official website of the university or from the college campus.

How to apply for admission? 

Steps to apply:

  1. Visit the official website, download the application form to fill it from the admissions section in the download list. 

  2. Once the application is completed, a fee of rupees 1000 must be paid through credit/debit /net banking. The fees reduce to 500 for SC/ST candidates. 

  3. Offline mode involves collecting the application form by post or in person and a DD of rupees 1000/500 (SC/ST) can be sent in favor of the Director, Indian Institute of forest management Bhopal.

Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) PGDM admission process

PGDM courses like Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PFM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability Management (PSM) are provided at the Indian Institute of Forest Management, [IIFM] Bhopal. Admissions are currently closed for the 2021 academic year.

Qualifying entrance examinations are CAT / XAT. 

Eligibility Criteria 

  1. Bachelor's degree in any discipline recognized by the ministry of human resource development - the government of India. 

  2. The candidate must hold a minimum of 50% marks which reduces to 45% for backward classes and people with disabilities.

Selection process

The selection process is based on scores obtained in CAT / XAT followed by a written aptitude test and personal interviews for the short-listed candidates. Due to the Covid 19 outbreak PI round is conducted online this year. 

Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) PG admission process

Post Graduation course offered at the Indian Institute of Forest Management is M.Phil. in Natural Resource Management (MRM) and Fellow Program in Management (FPM) equivalent to Ph.D. M.Phil is designed to develop analysis and conceptual studies in natural resources. Applications are accepted for FPM for the academic year 2021 - 2024 that commences in July 2021. The application must be completed before November 12, 2021, for the M. Phil course.

Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility criteria are as follows: 

  1. For M.Phil the eligibility criteria are that a candidate must hold a degree/diploma/ engineering/management related to social sciences. 

  2. With a minimum of 55% marks scored. 

  3. Students of final year also can apply.

  4. For FPM, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and also a master’s of engineering in relevant disciplines. 

  5. Candidates must have first class in an integrated master's program in CA, ICWA, CS with 55% scores.

Seats available for M.Phil is just 26. As the course has its own importance. Reservations are followed as per the government protocols. 

Selection process

Selection for post-graduation courses is based on CAT/GMAT scores. Or UGC/GATE/CSIR/JRF/NET/ICAR NET is also considered. Candidates who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria and who are shortlisted will be invited for a personal interview. The PI location and dates must be communicated to the candidate.

The syllabus to clear CAT exams are as follows: 

  1. Each section is allotted with a defined score, bearing in mind the preparations for exams can begin.

  2. The first section has the segments called Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation.

  3. Secondly, it comprises segments called Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension section.

  4. Finally, quantitative aptitude includes topics like Number System, Algebra, Time and Work, Geometry, Mensuration.

Hall Ticket

The admit card for the CAT examinations is released on 28th October 2021.

Steps to download the admit card for CAT entrance exams. 

  1. The candidate must visit the website of CAT.

  2. Login with registration ID and password.

  3. Locate the admit card.

  4. Download and print the hall ticket to display before you enter the exam hall.


Counseling for the academic year 2021-2021 will be held in January 2021. Once the CAT results are announced IIMs will release the cut-off. 

CAT Counseling involves the following steps: 

  1. Based on the results/score obtained in CAT, candidates are shortlisted and sent a Call Letter

  2. Selected candidates must appear for WAT and GD/PI. In the interview round, the candidate requires you to produce the below documents: 

  • Reservation certificates (if applicable)
  • Interview Letters
  • CAT Rank Card
  • Class 10 and 12 marks sheet and Passing certificate
  • Graduation degree certificates
