Hindu College Facilities

Hindu College Delhi offers modern facilities to students for a professional mindset and better learning experience. The campus is equipped with an auditorium, library, labs, and more. Further details regarding Hindu College Delhi facilities are listed below.

Auditorium: The college has an auditorium spread across a 3362 sq. ft. area and can accommodate 900 individuals. It has 2 green rooms, 1 washroom and a balcony.

Bank: A branch of State Bank of India is located in the college premises to cater to the needs of students. 

Botanical Garden: The college maintains a green botanical garden that treats the eyes. It spreads the positive aura around and helps us connect to our mother nature. 

Counselling Cell: The Hindu College offers counselling to the students on various professional and personal issues. The students are free to discuss their problems with the counsellor.

Food Court: The food court of Hindu College Delhi has a canteen and an open-air kiosk (pizza-and-more) which is the centre for healthy debates and interactions. The wide range of food satisfies the appetite of students. The canteen also has a modern kitchen, serving healthy and hygienic food at reasonable rates to the staff and students. It also has an indoor seating capacity of 100 and an outdoor seating capacity of 200 students. 

Common Room: The college has a well-equipped girls common room with 12 chairs, sofa, dressing table, almirah, with attached washroom. In addition, it provides a vending machine for feminine hygiene essentials.

Gymnasium: The air-conditioned gymnasium of the college is well-equipped and offers all the modern fitness equipment, including 2 treadmills, 2 walkers, 3 gym cycles, 1 leg press, and 1 chest press etc.

Health Centre: The Hindu College Delhi has a well-equipped medical room with first aid facilities and a full-time nurse to assist the students. In addition, it provides a facility for doctor-on-call if needed. The health services are made available for hostel residents. In an emergency, the student is rushed to the hospitals nearby of the college, i.e. the Hindu Rao Hospital, St. Stephen’s Hospital, Tirth Ram Hospital and the Sant Parmanand Hospital.

Hostel: The college has a spacious hostel with 119 rooms enclosing eight lawns with rose beds and greenery. The Hindu College hostel offers accommodation facilities to about 200 undergraduate and postgraduate male students. The common room provides recreational facilities such as table tennis, carrom, chess, and a separate TV room. The admissions are held strictly based on merit, and the resident students are expected to maintain dignity. 

Library: The Hindu College library is fully air-conditioned and computerised. All textbooks are kept in the reserve section to enable the students to write their tutorials. In addition, it also has a well-equipped reading room, which subscribes to a large number of dailies, weeklies, periodicals and journals on a variety of subjects. The library offers a reference service to assist users in getting their required information. It also provides photocopying Service, new arrival display service, book reservation, OPAC service and internet facility.

Parking Facility: The college has parking facilities for teachers and students for around  100 cars and 50 motorbikes.

Photostat Shop: The campus has photocopy and binding facilities within the premises of the college.

Seminar Room: An air-conditioned, state of the art seminar room is available in the college. It has a dedicated desktop, LCD projector, 70 table-top mikes, a powerful sound system and a seating capacity of 150.

There are 2 hostels on the campus. One for boys which is INR 30000 p.a. One for girls is INR 90000 p.a. 50 bucks per meal in the college canteen. WiFi is average.

There is separate hostel facility for boys and girls in the college premises. Both provide students with all the basic facilities. Fees for boys is cheaper than for the girls because girls hostel is air-conditioned and have better facilities.
