• Applications for Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2025 are open for HPU B.Tech admission 2025. The last date to apply for the same is April 18, 2025, and the HPCET 2025 exam will be conducted on May 10, 2025.
• JEE Main 2025 Session 2 registrations are ongoing for B.Tech admission 2025 to HPU. The last date to register is February 25, 2025. Further, the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 will be held from April 01 to 08, 2025.
• NEET UG 2025 registrations are ongoing for HPU admission 2025 to BAMS and the last date to register is March 07, 2025 (11:50 PM). Further, NEET 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on May 04, 2025.
• The tentative academic schedule for 2025-26 has been released by HPU. For the July 2025 session, the last date to apply for entrance test based courses and merit-based/short-term courses is April 26, 2025, and June 16, 2025, respectively. 
• HPU MAT 2025 registrations for HPU MBA admission 2025 will tentatively begin in the last week of April 2025, and the exam is expected to be conducted in the second week of June 2025.

HPU UG Admission 2025

For HPU UG admission 2025, candidates are selected based on their merit in the qualifying examination or valid entrance exam scores. HPU Selection Process 2025

The selection criteria for HPU admission 2025 varies for every program. The points below must be referred to by the candidates to learn the HPU selection process for various programs.

• For HPU admission 2025 to MBA, the university shortlists candidates based on the HPU MAT exam. Group discussion and personal interview rounds are conducted for final selection.
• Admission for the B.Tech program takes place based on relevant JEE Main scores followed by counselling.
• Selection for courses like B.Ed, M.Ed, MCA, LLB, LLM, and BHM depends on the applicant’s performance in the entrance exam. This exam is conducted by the institute itself.
• Admission to the BAMS course is based on the candidate's score in the NEET UG exam followed by counselling.
• For M.Tech admission, the selection is based on the candidate's performance in the entrance exam conducted by HPU. Alternatively, candidates with valid GATE/NET/SLET scores in Computer Science/Engineering will get 20% extra of the scores achieved in the entrance exam for merit calculation. 
• For doctoral courses like PhD and M.Phil, candidates are selected based on their scores in the university-based entrance examination. Those with valid scores in UGC NET/SLET need not appear for the PhD entrance test.
