GM Institute of Technology (GMIT) Davanagere, founded in 2001, is approved by AICTE and affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The institute offers diploma, B.E., and MBA courses. Admission to diploma programs is based on merit, while B.E. admissions are through centralized counselling based on KCET and COMEDK UGET scores, and MBA admissions are through Karnataka PGCET scores. GMIT features modern infrastructure, including classrooms, an auditorium, labs, hostels, and sports facilities. The placement cell assists with recruitment, training, and counselling.

GMIT Davangere Admission 

GM Institute of Technology (GMIT) is now accepting applications for 2024 admission, offering both entrance-based and merit-based selection. The application process is conducted online. GMIT provides 10 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate full-time programs, including BTech, MTech, MBA/PGDM, and Diploma courses in IT, Engineering, and Business.

Admission Process:

• Application: Register online and complete the application form.
• Selection: Take the entrance exams, followed by counselling conducted by the university.
• Confirmation: Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and pay the course fee to secure their admission.

GMIT Davangere Hostels

GMIT hostels offer a secure and inclusive environment that encourages responsibility, self-reliance, and discipline. Residential staff aid in student development, enhancing interpersonal skills and leadership. Regular meetings allow students to provide feedback for improvements. Facilities include fast food outlets, vegetarian dining with steam cooking, a visitors' lounge, gyms, indoor games, snooker tables, washing machines, solar-powered hot water, and outdoor sports.

GMIT Davangere Library

The GMIT Central Library, covering 2540 sq.m., features 72 journals, 7 magazines, and e-journals through the VTU Consortium. With an efficient ERP system, the library offers services like borrowing, book bank, OPAC, digital resources, internet, reprography, and Wi-Fi. Additionally, each department has its library for easy access to materials.
