Dyal Singh College, [DSC] Delhi University, New Delhi was established in the year 1959. Dyal Singh College is approved by NAAC with an” A” Grade and recognised by NIRF and IQAC. The college owes its origin to the generosity Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, who donated his vast wealth in 1895 for starting this educational trust.

Dyal Singh College provides many undergraduate programmes which are very well formed and taught by a group of experienced faculty. Dyal Singh College Admission requires few eligibility criteria to be met by the candidate.

Dyal Singh College, Admissions:

 Dyal Singh College Admission has a few steps to be followed. The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for admissions.

  • The candidate has to collect the handbook of information from the room near the main gate of the college which costs 100 rs.
  • The candidate must will the % Form and Identity card form in the handbook.
  • The candidate must submit the form along with the other documents as per the "Checklist" which will be displayed in the admission room.
  • The candidate should make sure he/she collects the acknowledgement form after submitting the form in the admission room.
  • The Deposit fee has to be paid online through the university portal, on the next day of the announcement of the cut-off.
  • The reporting time for admissions is 9.30am to 1.30pm in the admission room.

The quality of teaching is good as some teachers use innovative methods to teach and help students grasp a concept. I am involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities which helps me interact with lots of students of other departments.

Apart from ECA societies like roots( music society),astitva( drama society),zest(dance society) there are a number of other societies like enactus, gender development cell, environment society etc. Our college organises a yearly College fest called priyadarshini moreover each department organises it's own fest in the month of Feb and March. In terms of academics, I gave it 10/10. Because of what our college known or famous for. All the classes were on the schedule. Teachers are hard working and supportive as well. At regular intervals, we have tests and assignment which is necessary for the students in terms of their academic performance. Quality is 10/10 yeah but the method is somewhat I gave 8/10. Overall experience is quite Good here.

Class timing is from morning 8 to evening 5. For science students, it's really difficult to sit, while in other streams there is 3 or 4 class only of 1:15 hour.The different faculty has different methods of teaching and the main thing is 75% attendance if it would below, then you are not allowed to sit in the exam.

Hi Hardil,

For B.Com, an aggregate of minimum 40% is required in the qualifying exam. To be more specific, the merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and 3 best electives subjects.

The first cut off went upto 96% last year.

The admission procedure for B.Com (Hons) in Dyal Singh College, Delhi is given below. 

Admission Procedure

After declaration of the Delhi University Admission Cut Off List by the University, the candidate will need to report to the college of his / her choice as per the Schedule of DU Admission. At this stage, the candidate would be required to fill the college form and the University enrolment form. The candidate would then get his/her documents verified, submit the same to the college and pay the fees.

The candidates who could not take in the Delhi University Cut Off list could be considered for in the immediate next list only on the last date of provided seats are available in the college/course

For Boards, whose results are declared late, candidates may be considered in whichever cut-off list their results are declared subject to availability.
