DTU Delhi Facilities

Delhi Technological University offers modern infrastructure and the latest technology for a better learning experience. The campus is equipped with a library, hostel, classrooms, sports facilities, etc. Further details about the DTU campus are mentioned below.

Library: The library system comprises a central library and 15 departmental libraries that serve the teaching, research, and extension programs. The DTU library has many books in engineering, science, and humanities. The college is working on digitising library resources so that virtual library and knowledge centre services can be offered alongside traditional library services.

Computer Centre: DTU offers a centralised computer centre that serves the students and professors. It is housed in a building with specialised laboratories to provide various platforms and computing environments. In addition, the centre features about 15 servers hosting various applications such as websites and portals, SPSS, Mathematica, MatLab, DNS, LDAP, proxy, Email services, Network Monitoring System (NMS), and 4 SUN CAD workstations. DTU computer centre currently has  200 computers connected to a LAN giving internet access and programming facilities.

Knowledge Park: The Delhi Technological University campus has a knowledge hub networked with industries and R&D institutions. National and global networking is a part of the knowledge hub's operational strategy. A knowledge hub is, thus, the nucleus of the cultivation of new knowledge and the centre for the transformation of knowledge into prosperity through knowledge enterprise development.

Banking and Mail: The State Bank of India (SBI) operates a branch on the campus that serves students banking needs. The entire banking transaction takes place within the branch. It has also set up an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) on campus. The Indian Post has an office to serve the DTU community's mail-related needs.

Hostel: The DTU hostel offers separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls. The boys hostel has a capacity of 1284 students, while the girls hostel has a capacity of 334 students. Each DTU hostel offers solar water geysers, a TV with cable connection, games (table tennis, carrom, chess, badminton), a gymnasium, a reading room, and LAN.

Guest House: The DTU infrastructure has a guest home for those who need a place to stay. The rooms are spacious and pleasant, equipped with all the modern amenities.

Gymnasium: DTU boasts a gymnasium with the latest technology. It was recently renovated, and new equipment such as digital electronic treadmills was added to the already spectacular setting.

Health Care Centre: DTU campus area features a full-fledged hospital block with 20 beds. Students have access to two medical practitioners during the day and evening. Once a week, the college invites specialised medical practitioners for ENT, eye, dental treatment, and nutrition experts.

Day Care: The Delhi Technological University Day Care Centre (DTU-DCC) has a Kidz Den for the faculty children, officers, and non-teaching staff.

  • You will love this campus, and hate it more.
  • You will talk about how small it is until you have to go from hostel to the classes when it seems like miles. WIFI, hi tech labs are there at Delhi Technological University

  • The campus is very beautiful and well maintained. The streets are nice, the road drainage system is quite good. The architecture is majestic, especially if seen from an aerial view. The floor space index is however abysmally low. All buildings have no more than 4 floors. It beats me as to why buildings are not built keeping future need for room and space in mind. Labs dont have updated infrastructure and machines. The DTU Library is centrally air conditoned and has a good collection of books. The campus is WIFI enabled. The quality of classrooms is also not to great.
  • The entire campus is replete with greens and there are lots of parks which lend themselves beautifully to the utility and structure of the campus.
  • Within campus, the students can commute in personal vehicles till 7 PM. The campus is well connected to the city as it can be reached by bus, metro and various public transport.
