PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK
  • The college's placement cell started getting good companies for packages of INR 1,50,000 to 3,00,000 which is decent enough for fresh graduates. However not many students are interested in placements at DU colleges as they are either planning to persue higher education or are into professional courses. This was especially true for my course, B.com(H) as so many students from my batch were into CA/CS/CWA. Many others were preparing to persue M.COM or MBA. However not all students got placements & many who were desirous of working did search for jobs on their own.

As much as the academics of the college is good, the jobs and internships scenario is not pretty great. Most of the students look at outside sources to get internships and jobs for themselves, tapping into their family sources. Having said that, a revamped college placement cell was formed this year and concerted efforts are being made to make the process of bringing in quality companies more systematic. The placement of the Department of Business/Management Studies is much better than other courses due to higher demand of business graduates in general.
