The college application process will start for the PGDM course through online mode. The admission process of SCMS Cochin School of Business is based on the marks in the entrance exam and merit list. The entrance exam for all the courses is followed by the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Both the courses are offered in full-time and part-time manner.

The application form fee is Rs. 950 for all the students belonging to different categories. Both the fee and form should be submitted online there is no option for offline Submission of application. Before submission of the application form please register yourself for one of the mentioned entrance exams.

SCMS Cochin School of Business [SCMS] Cochin - PG Admission Process

SCMS Cochin School of Business, [SCMS] Cochin offers full-time and part-time PGDM course for all the graduates who are in their final year and who have done graduation both can apply for the PGDM course. The application form for the PGDM course is submitted via online mode.

Entrance exam

Admission to PGDM full-time and part-time is based on the valid score on the entrance exam. The institute accept the CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ KMAT entrance exam.  A minimum of 60 percentile in CAT or a composite score of over 400 in MAT is essential.

Courses & Eligibility Criteria

Following are the course offered by the institute:

  • Full-time PGDM course (General Management with dual specialization)
  • Part-time PGDM course (General Management with dual specialization)

Full-time PGDM is a two-year course in General Management with dual specialization and part-time PGDM is a three-year course in General Management with dual specialization.

Any one of the following specializations can be opted for, along with Marketing Management:

  • Systems & Operations

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for each course is as follows: 




PGDM (Full-time)

Graduation in any discipline with 50% aggregate from any recognized university

2 year

PGDM (Part-time)

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university + Two years of  working experience

3 year

The minimum age limit for admission should be 20 years and the maximum age is 50 years for any course.

For SAARC countries students - The admission test is not mandator. They need to pay a fee of $17,000, inclusive of boarding and lodging.

Note - Part-time classes will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Selection criteria

Admission to Full-time PGDM can be done through the entrance exams. The exam is followed by group discussion and personal interview. Candidates also need to pass graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized university

Admission to PGDM, a part-time course is based on a minimum of 50 % in any discipline from a recognized University and a minimum of two-year work experience. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for the Personal Interview (PI) round.

Seat Availability

The seat availability of the PGDM course is given below:

  • Full-time PGDM course: 180 Seats
  • Part-time PGDM course: 30 Seats


Candidates need to submit the scanned copies of documents on the day of the Group discussion and Personal Interview. Note  down the following documents to carry for the admission process:

  • Attested copy of the School Leaving Certificate 
  • Date of birth certificate.
  • Marksheet of 10th, 12th, and graduation.
  • Attested copy of Graduation Degree Certificate.
  • Passport size photographs.
  • Score Card of Entrance Exam.

Preparation tips

Candidates are advised to prepare for the entrance exam with the help of the syllabus and MOOC test. Read all the latest happening in the world and recent business for the preparation of group discussion. Work on your soft skills for the personal interview round.

Hall Ticket/Admit Card

The hall ticket for the test will be issued just one week or two weeks before the exam. Carry admit card along with any one identity proof on the day of the exam.


Within one or two months of the entrance exam, the result will be uploaded on the official website. Take a printout of the result for the time of admission.

Tips for a successful admission process

For the admission, process candidates must have to carry all the documents, payslips, and printouts of the result of the admit card. If candidates do not have all the documents on the date of submission, the authority allow them to submit the documents on some other day.
