Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering, Vallabh Vidyanagar College was founded in 1958. The college has the motto of “Work is Worship”. College was first approved by the Government as a grant-in-aid College with more than 20000 engineers Graduated. The college offers degrees offered such as B.Tech. and M.Tech Courses. In 1979, BVM was called upon to establish an institute working entirely for research, development, training and extension work in the area of renewable sources of energy, particularly for rural applications. Dr. R M Dave took great pains in establishing the Jyoti Solar Energy Institute. The institute which later renamed as Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute has now developed into a full-fledged institute working independently in the vital area of renewable energy. The Computer Center was established in 1985 and is being continuously upgraded and expanded. Initially, it had a UNIX-based minicomputer with Sixteen terminals and a number of PC/XTs and PC/ATs providing DOS Environment. BVM became the grant-in-aid institution of the State Government in 1958 and slowly grants from the State as well as Central Government started trickling in. BVM offers a wide range of UG and PG Courses to Students.

Tech programs. Only qualified candidates are eligible for B. Tech counseling and admission. The selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks/ rank secured by the applicant, which is followed by a counseling session conducted on a state level. A final merit list of the candidates is declared after the counseling process. The first preference is given to candidates qualifying 10+2 from Gujarat Secondary Education Board. No, there is no such need to give particular entrance examination. You can get admission through your merit base. That merit basically depends on your performance in state board exams and your JEE score. By combining this two and after normalization you will get your overall rank, which is the base for getting admission in this college according to the rules and regulations of GTU. Cutoff rank may vary branch wise, like for last year mechanical was around 1100 to 2000, but for IT it lasted around 3000. So for a particular branch, it varies according to the current trend. If you want to get admission in your choice you have to be in first 3000 students at least.
There is admission is confirmed through acpc. And not any entrance exam taken by the college but Gujarat board exam and jee exams are most preferable for the admission. My course's typical cutoff is approx 3000 acpc rank.
Candidate must clear the JEE MAIN exam and must have passed the 12th with minimum of 80% marks from a recognized institute to get admission in this college. Minimum 70-80 cutoff mark is required.
