Basirhat College was established on 16th Nov 1947. The college is a general degree college. The institution is affiliated to the university of calcutta. It is functioning in three shifts - morning, day and evening. The Institution aims at an all round development of the students in academic and other spheres of education and the main goal of the institution is to provide collegiate education.
