West Bengal State University, set up in 2008, is a public university recognized by UGC. It is spread over an area of 30 acres of land. The university offers various UG, PG and doctoral-level courses in arts, science, commerce, education, business administration, and physical education. WBSU Admission 2024

WBSU admission 2024 is ongoing for the PG courses such as MA, MCom, MRS and MJMC. The application forms are currently open on the official website, and the students must register to be eligible for course admission. The step-by-step process is given below:

WBSU Eligibility Criteria

West Bengal State University has set up different criteria for admission in different courses. The candidate must fulfil all the requirements for getting admission. The basic criteria for some courses are as follows:

B.Com Eligibility Criteria

• The student must have passed 12th from a recognized board with a minimum 50% aggregate.

MA Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed UG in the relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• The candidate must also appear and qualify in the entrance exam conducted by the university for that respective course.

PhD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, with 55% marks for the General category (50% for reserved categories).
• The candidate has to appear and get a positive score in the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the university and must appear for PI.

WBSU Cutoff

WBSU has released the list of cutoff marks for 2022-23. The students need to meet the basic cutoff marks requirement to get admission. The university set different cutoffs for different courses. The students also need to clear the entrance exam for the particular course conducted by the university and meet the basic cutoff marks for the test.
