Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College, founded on September 19, 1953, is a UGC-registered and NAAC-accredited institution. Established by Dr. Satish Bose and a group of dedicated social workers, it was initially located at Debiprasad High School before moving to 6 Riverside Road in 1954, affiliated with the University of Calcutta. In 1969, the college acquired land at 85 Middle Road for expansion.
