NIFT exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) once a year. It is a national-level entrance exam for students seeking admission to across 18 NIFT campuses. This year it was held on Feb 9, 2025.

NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Exam is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA. On November 22, 2025, the NTA announced the NIFT 2025 application form. Candidates who meet the NIFT 2025 qualifying requirements can apply.
The NIFT 2025 application form is for admission to B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M programmes. When filling out the form, you can select the STUDY program. The NTA administered the NIFT 2025 written exams on February 9, 2025. The NIFT 2025 admit card was out on Feb 4, 2025. The written exams consist of the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). The computer-based GAT is required for all courses. However, only B.Des and M.Des candidates must take the offline CAT.
The NIFT 2025 written test results will be used to select applicants for a Situation Test/Personal Interview. The final NIFT 2025 scores will be calculated by weighting the written exam and Situation Test/Personal Interview.

NIFT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

BDes Course
- Students must pass the class 12th from a recognized board and should be a maximum of 24 years (as of 1st Aug 2025).
- Candidates in the SC, ST, and PWD categories will benefit from a five-year age relaxation on the maximum age limit.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam of NIFT for the year 2025 can also appear for the exam.
BTech Course
- Students must pass class 12th from a recognized board and should be a maximum of 24 years (as of 1st Aug 2025) with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.
- Candidates in the SC, ST, and PWD categories will benefit from a five-year age relaxation on the maximum age limit.
MDes/ MFTech/ MFM Course
- Students must have acquired a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution. Students of any age can apply for this course.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam of NIFT for the year 2025 can also appear for the exam.
NIFT 2025 Application Form

- Students would be able to correct their application form by the second week of Jan 2025.

Application Process for NIFT 2025

- Go to the official website, nift.ac.in.
- Navigate to the registration link and fill out the application form correctly.
- Students need to upload the necessary documents as per their specifications.
- Now, pay the application fee through online mode. For general and EWS categories, it is INR 3000. For SC, ST, and PWD, it is INR 1500.
- Then, submit the application form.
- Do not forget to take a printout of the application form for future reference.

NIFT 2025 Result
The NIFT result 2025 for the Session 1 Exam was released in online mode on its official website, nift.ac.in, on Apr 25, 2025. Students who have appeared for NIFT 2025 will be able to check the result. To view the NIFT 2025 result, students need to log in with their registration number and roll number.
The result comprises details like marks obtained, ranks, and the overall percentage of the student.

NIFT 2025 Counselling
The NIFT counselling 2025 usually happens in June or July. Only those candidates are eligible for the counselling round who clear the NIFT entrance exam.
Once the counselling round is conducted successfully, students need to appear for document verification and present the required set of documents to complete the admission process for NIFT 2025.
