General Requirements for Undergraduate Admissions 2019

Eligibility Criteria for MA

MA Music :

I Year: 

  • The candidate must have completed graduation in music from this university or any other university.

or 

  • The candidate must have completed graduation in any subject other than music from this university or any other recognized university & must have passed Sangeet Visharad or equivalent degree in Music.

or

  •  The candidate must have graduated in any subject other than music but having excellent
    ability to pursue music or must have received extensive training in music for at least five years.

II Year:

  •  The students who are of this university and want to pursue MA in second-year mush have completed the first year in the same subject.
    or 
    The candidate has passed with applicable ATKT from a recognized institution.

MA in Career and Development counseling:

  • Anyone with some knowledge about guiding people and knowing the English language could do this course.

MA in Applied Linguistics/Sanskrit/Marathi/Gujarati/Hindi/English:

I Year: 

  • The candidate must have completed graduation in any subject from this university or any other recognized University. 

  • The candidates applying for MA Engish have to clear an English proficiency test.

II Year: 

  • The candidate from any other University cannot take admission to this course, this students from this university can apply for the course if he/she has passed the first year in the same subject or has passed with admissible ATKT.

MA in Inclusive Education :

  • The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream and preference will be given to B.Ed, BA integrated education, PG Diploma in Education/ Special Education.

MA eLearning:

  • Women candidate who has completed graduation from any recognized university with 50%(45% for reserved category) can apply for the entrance test for the first year. The candidate who doesn't have their results out will be given provisional admission but an undertaking from the candidate is essential in that case.

MA Education(Full Time):

  • Women candidate with Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, having or not having a degree in education from a recognized University.

MA in Media and Communication:

  • Women candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 40% and B-Grade, the students awaiting their results will be admitted provisionally and the admission will be based on DCET(Department common Entrance Test) scores. The candidate needs to be from UGC/AICTE recognized institution.

MA in Ancient Indian Culture:

  • The candidate must have completed graduation from any recognized university.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc

M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry :

  • The candidate must have completed B.Sc with 5 units of 4 credits each(Annual System) or has 32 credits(Semester System) of chemistry.

M.Sc in Computer Science(CS):

  • The candidate must have completed B.Sc in any of the Science stream subjects except biology or any engineering graduate in allied subjects from a recognized university with a minimum scored marks of 50%(45% for reserved category)
  • The candidate must have opted for mathematics as a subject in the 12th level of 100 marks pattern or studied mathematics at the graduation level. 

M.Sc in Nursing:

  • The candidates who are first time applying for this university have to fill the eligibility form which is approved by the university
  • and the candidates must submit the eligibility form with the originals as well as the attested copies of the following form:
  • B.Sc Nursing degree/Pc. B.Sc Nursing Degree along with the respective mark sheets.
  • Migration Certificate from the university.

M.Sc in Resource Management and Ergonomics:

  • The candidate must have completed B.Sc with 50% marks or got B grade in Resource Management from this Universty or any other recognized University.
  • In special cases of Graduates from allied fields with a good academic record will be required to complete the pre-requisites with minimum 50% marks.

M.Sc in Nutrition and Food Processing:

  • Students who have obtained the minimum percentage as specified below are eligible to apply for the M.Sc. programmes:

  • A: The candidate must have scored 50% or B grade if they are from the following degrees:  B.Sc.Foods and Nutrition, B.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition, B.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Nutrition and Dietetics, B.S.c Public Health and Nutrition, B.Sc Food Science and Quality Control, B.Sc. Applied Nutrition, B.Sc Food Technology.

  • B .The candidate must have scored 55% or B grade if they are from the following degrees:: B.Sc.Life Sciences, B.Sc. Biochemistry, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc. Physiology, B.Sc Microbiology, B.Sc Zoology, B.Sc.Molecular Biology.
  • C. The candidates must have scored 50% or B grade if they have a degree in Postgraduate Diplomas in Dietetics, Applied Nutrition, Sports Sciences Fitness and Nutrition, Public Health, Nutrition Food Processing, and Technology.

  • The eligibility criteria for B category students who do have specialization in Food and Nutrition at Undergraduate level should have completed a total 32 credits under the semester pattern of 600 marks under the annual pattern of the following subjects:

    • Chemistry

    • Biology

    • Physiology

    • Biochemistry

    • Nutrition

    • Food Science/Food Chemistry

    • Microbiology

    • Diet Therapy/Dietetics

    • Any vocational course or paper in the discipline of Food Science and Nutrition or Clinical Nutrition or Food Quality or Food     Safety or Food Technology.

M.Sc in Textile Science and Apparel design:

  • The candidate must have minimum 45% for students with B.Sc. degree in Textile Science and Apparel Design, Fashion, Apparel Design, Dress Design

  • The candidate must have minimum 50% for students with B Design / Textile Design.
  • The candidate must have minimum 50% for students B. Sc. Composite Home Science, B.A. Home Science, B. Sc. General Home Science, B.Sc. Human Ecology and Consumer Studies, B.Sc. Family and Community Science who have completed a minimum of 8 credits under semester pattern or 200 marks under the annual pattern of courses related to Textile and Apparel Design.

M.Sc in Early Childhood Education:

  • The candidate must have completed B.Sc. Human Development/Developmental Counseling/Composite Home Science/Home Science.

  • The candidate must have B.A inPsychology /English /Child Development.

  • The candidate must have P.G. Diploma in Early Childhood Education 

  • The candidate must be a graduate in Any Discipline (Prerequisites to be fulfilled)

M.Sc. in Human Development:

  • The candidate must have minimum 45% with BSc Home Science with Human Development, BSc Composite Home Science, BA in Home Economics/Home Science, BA/BSc Psychology, BSc/BA Guidance, and Counselling.

  • The candidate must have minimum 45% with one-year PG Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Guidance, and Counselling.

M.Sc. in Interior Design :

  • The minimum percentage is 50% or B grade for students who have the following degrees: B.Sc. Foods and Nutrition, B.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition, B.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics/Nutrition and Dietetics, B.S.c Public Health and Nutrition, B.Sc Food Science and Quality Control, B.Sc. Applied Nutrition, B.Sc Food Technology.
  • The minimum percentage is 55% or B grade for students with a degree in Pure Sciences: B.Sc. Life Sciences/ Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Physiology /Microbiology / Zoology / Molecular Biology.

Eligibility Criteria for Other Courses.

M.Pharm in Quality Assurance:

  • The candidate should be an Indian National and who possess bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Pharmacy from any AICTE approved institution, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of SC/ST category and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) 

  • Should have valid and qualified GPAT All India Rank / Total Score. Should have non-zero Score in MAH-MPH-CET, if the candidate has neither appeared for GPAT nor having valid and qualified GPAT All India Rank / Total Score.

M. Pharm - Herbal Drug Technology/Pharmaceutics:

  • The candidate should be an Indian National and who possess bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Pharmacy from any AICTE approved institution, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of SC/ST category and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

M.Tech in Electronics and Communication:

  • B.E./B.Tech.in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Telecommunication/Electronics and Instrumentation.

  • 4 years Engineering/Technology Degree programme from AICTE approved Institute.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA):

  • The admission will be done as per DTE norms and MAH-MCA-CET score as per the performance of the candidate.

Master of Law (LL.M):

  • The candidate must be a professional in LL.B, or must have an equivalent Degree recognized by Bar Council of India.

Master in MBA – Retail Management :

  • A graduate in any discipline with 50% of marks at graduation for open category and 45% for the reserved category from an Indian University recognized by (AIU) written test, group discussion and personal Interview conducted by JDBIMS.

OR

  • A valid score of any national level test taken during the current academic year would be acceptable.

Master in Management Studies (M.M.S.):

A valid score of centralized Management Academic Test (CMAT)conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and any other procedure prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of Maharashtra. (Centralised admissions).
