Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharm

  • Students have to pass 10+2 with the minimum of 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects.

  • Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC will get up to 10% marks relaxation to be eligible for the GNDU Amritsar

  • Students who opted for B. Pharm should appear & write the Entrance examination.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Arch

  • Candidates have to score minimum 50% marks in with Bachelor of Architecture.

  • For students belonging to reserved categories should score minimum 45% marks with B.Arch.

  • Students should appear in NATA 2019, and score good marks to be eligible for the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Com

  • Students must have a Bachelor Degree in the B.Com or in the BA in Economics [Hons], with the minimum of 50% marks as aggregate.

  • There is up to 10% marks relaxation in case of the Scheduled Castes

Eligibility Criteria for M.Ed

  • Candidates who have the Bachelor Degree in the field of Education B.Ed with the aggregate of 50% marks are eligible for the course.

  • In the case of Schedule caste students, they have the relaxation of up to 10% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.P.Ed

  • Students must have a Bachelor Degree in the fields of Physics like B.P.Ed (1 Year)/ BPE (3 years), and B.Sc in Health and Physical Education.

  • Students belonging to General Category must have 50% marks in aggregate.

  • Those who belong to Schedule caste do get up to 10% marks relaxation.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Pharm

Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in B.Pharmacy to be eligible for the M.Pharm. 

Eligibility Criteria for M.Phil

Candidates must have a Master's Degree with the minimum of 55% marks in MBA/ M.Com/ MIB/ MFC from a recognized University.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Plan

  • Candidates must have the Bachelor Degree in B.Tech/ B.Tech (Civil Engineering)/ B.Arch to be eligible for the Master of Planning.

  • Students have to score more than 50% marks in 10+2 examinations.

  • Candidates must have to clear the Bachelor Degree with the minimum of 55% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc

  • Candidates must have Bachelor Degree in the field of science with the minimum of 50% marks in B.Sc. 

  • Relaxation of up to 10% marks will be available to the SC/ ST/ and OBC students.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech

To be eligible for M. Tech in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar:

  • Students have to pass B.Tech courses with a minimum of 50% marks.

  • Those who belong to the reserved category are get up to 10% marks relaxation in total aggregate marks.

  • Students should have to take the respective departmental heads Entrance Examination for eligible to the M.Tech courses.

Eligibility Criteria for Other Courses.

 MBA/ MCA/ M.Lib.I.Sc

The eligibility criteria are totally based on whichever course you wanna take off.so for that you may refer to our university's site - www.gndu.ac.in. 2.When I came over here.JEE Mains was my entrance exam .on the basis of JEE Mains rank, I gotta get admission over here.in my B.Tech. CET branch. the cutoffs may vary from year to year. it all depends upon the JEE Mains result.

  • I applied through the PTU counseling and got admission in GNDU based upon my rank in JEE Mains in the year 2013 which was 43001. Although I am not sure that up to how many ranks was they taking in students but at that time it was almost 90,000, I think. Although nowadays they have admitted students who haven't even given the Mains exam. So, you can guess what's the condition right now.

Admission Procedure:

  • For B.Tech. Courses (except B.Tech. Urban & Regional Planning), admission will be made on the basis of All India Rank of JEE(Main)-
    2015. Counselling will be conducted by GNDU. Counselling schedule will be uploaded on GNDU website in due course of time.
    Application for admission shall be submitted only on-line alongwith the counselling fee of Rs. 2000/- after the admission schedule is
    uploaded on GNDU admissions website www.gnduadmissions.org
  • All applications shall be submitted online only through main website of the University (www.gndu.ac.in) or
    www.gnduadmissions.org. Each application form shall be submitted on line with an application fee of Rs. 1000/-. (for General Category)
    and (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST Category). However for B.Tech. courses (except B.Tech. URP) the one time counselling fee will be Rs. 2000/-.
  • The process for online submission of application form will start from 26.05.2015 as per the following schedule :

Engineering and Technology

  1. Bachelor of Science (Electronics Media) 3 +2  Medical/Non-Medical with 40% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination or 3 year Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engg./Mechanical Engg./Electrical Engg./ Computer Engg/
  2. Bachelor of Computer Applications 3 +2 with atleast 40% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination. 
  3. Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) 3 +2 with atleast 40% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination.
  4. Bachelor of Internet and Mobile Technologies 4 (a) 10+2 examination with 40% marks Or (b) Any other examination with 40% marks recognized equivalent to (a) above by the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
