Kamla Nehru College for Women, Kapurthala was established in 1965 that some idealistic visionaries of Phagwara realized the pressing need to create a better social set up by educating the comparatively deprived gender.
So, with the earnest efforts and indomitable spirit of Sh. Bhag Ram Handa, Sh. Bal Krishan Sardana, Sh. B.D Sardana, Sh. Pakhar Singh, Sh. Ram Krishan Uppal, Sh. Telu Ram Singla, Sh. Hans Raj Bansal, Pt. Kishori Lal and Sh.
