Eligibility Criteria for MBA

  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate should be obtained by the candidate in degree examination.

  • The eligibility criteria for SC/ST candidates is 45% marks.

  • The candidate must appear for PGCET / CAT / MAT or CMAT.

  • Applicants can also enroll for the program through management quota.

Eligibility Criteria for BE

  • The applicant must clear Karnataka 12th/2nd PUC board exam with excellent results to get through Don Bosco Institute of Technology admissions 2019.

  • The applicant should have studied Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages. 

  • Minimum of 45% marks should be obtained by the candidate in the optional subject.

  • The cut-off is reduced to 40% marks in case of SC/ST and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates.

  • The Common Entrance Test (CET) and COMED-K should be taken up by the candidate compulsorily.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech

  • The student should have completed BE from a recognized university.

  • The applicants with excellent academic records in BE are eligible for M.Tech admissions.

  • The students have to compulsorily take up PGCET or GATE exam.

  • Equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities is a must for foreign degrees.

  • Candidates who completed their degree through distance education are not eligible for the M.Tech as well courses under any government or management quota.

  • The applicant must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in degree examination.

  • The cut-off is reduced to 45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates. 

  • The candidate must qualify the GATE examination or the entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

  • Only those candidates who receive an admission order from KEA are eligible for the program.

  • After my Pre university course I wrote CET which is entrance test for government seats in medical and engineering colleges. The process was to put in the option of colleges & course in that college you like and then depending on rank and seats available government would allocate seat . And after getting allotment letter we had to take it to college and get admitted.

  • Cutoff for my Branch was 40000 rank in CET in Don Bosco Institute of Technology.

There is an eligibility criterion, you should be having 45% aggregate in physics, chemistry, and maths. You should be from science (maths) background. There are two exams to get in this college COMEDK and CET. COMEDK for students from all India and CET for students from Karnataka. The cutoff is 33000 rank for COMEDK. Well, you can also apply from management quota.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B.E
Students who have completed 10+2 with good marks in academics. CET or COMED-K exams to be compulsory taken.

DURATION
B.E degree extends over a period of four academic years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
For admission to B.E./B.Tech. Courses: The student should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A,2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
