Nizam College Hyderabad was established in the year 1887. In South India, Nizam College is one of the oldest and most esteemed institutions of higher education. Under the X Plan and the XI Plan period, the college received the status of the College with Potential for Excellence.

Nizam College was granted as autonomous for under graduation courses by University Grants Commission [UGC], and affiliated to College of Osmania University, Hyderabad. The College is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] with 'A' grade with CGPA 3.19.

Nizam College Hyderabad is a constituent college of Osmania University. The sprawling 25-acre college campus is located in the heart of the city of Hyderabad. The highlights of the college are mentioned  below: 

Nizam College Admissions are completely based on merit. The College offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the stream of Arts, Commerce, Social Sciences and Sciences in addition to professional courses. Nizam College Scholarships:

The candidates whose parent/guardians income is less than INR 1,00,000/- per annum for BC, OBC, BC, EBC, and INR 2,00,000/- per annum for SC/ST students, they can apply for Nizam College Scholarships. The tuition fee can be reimbursed by the Social Welfare/Tribal Welfare/Backward Classes & Minority Welfare Department through online, by paying the nominal fee of INR 600/- at the time of admission.
