MBA [Master of Business Administration] Details

IIM Calcutta MBA is a two-year, full-time, residential Post Graduate Programme in Management. The two-tiered structure of the post-graduate management degree includes a core curriculum, a summer internship, and 11 elective courses (optional courses in the second year). 

Admission to IIM Calcutta MBA is through CAT/GMAT/GRE score and PI round.

IIM Calcutta MBA Eligibility Criteria

IIM Calcutta MBA eligibility criteria is a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institute with a minimum average percentage of 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD). Students in their last year of graduation can also apply. International students can apply after clearing GMAT. 

IIM Calcutta MBA Admission

IIM Calcutta MBA admission procedure includes a Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (WAT). Aspirants would have to clear CAT/GMAT exam. Once the merit list is prepared, students are called for Personal Interviews followed by a WAT. For the final list of students, the institute would also consider the student's academic background and work experience, if any.

Candidates in their last year and awaiting results may also apply. If selected, they will only be permitted to begin the programme provisionally, provided they present a certificate from the principal or registrar of their college, institute, or university by June of admission year.

Application Procedure

The IIM Calcutta MBA application procedure starts with the CAT registration. The steps given below can be followed for the registration procedure:

• The CAT 2023 registration procedure will start in August 2023, and at the same time, the IIM Calcutta MBA application process will begin too.
• The IIM Calcutta application fees are included in the CAT 2023 registration fee.
• Applicants must choose from the IIM Calcutta MBA programme and other programmes on page 4 of the CAT 2023 application form and the city of the interview.
• Students can determine their selection by entering the CAT 2023 registration ID and password on the IIM Calcutta website following the release of the CAT 2023 exam results.

Entrance Exam

The eligible IIM Calcutta MBA entrance exams are Common Admission Test (CAT) and GMAT. Their scores determine admission to IIM Calcutta.

The IIM Calcutta MBA fees 2023 is INR 27 Lakhs. It is the total fee for the course and includes total tuition fees and charges for books and other study materials.
