Placements and Internships
Internships should be taken under any construction company.
There are not many core companies that come in for interviews for Civil Engineering but IT companies hire a large number of students.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are hostels available for boys and girls.
PG options are available. There is a different PG hostel for PG students.
Food is available only for hostel students. There is a food court available for all students and it is quite heavy on the pocket.
The classroom, labs, libraries are of good quality.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The eligibility criteria for my course (B.E Civil Engineering) is 160/200 cutoff.
You don't have to write any entrance examinations.
The admissions are completely based on your Higher Secondary Examination (12th) marks.
Academics and Faculty
Class timings starts from 8.30 am - 4.30 pm.
There are 3 internals and 2 semesters per year.
The quality of teaching is good.
Fees and Scholarships
Kumaraguru College of Technology, [KCT] Coimbatore Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 1 Lakh.
Loans can be taken.
There is a scholarship that pays for half your fees ie., The Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship.
Clubs and Associations
There is a lot of importance given to extracurricular activities and thus student societies, clubs, and associations are encouraged.
There is a techno-cultural event that usually happens during February called 'YUGAM'.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I went in through counselling. They also have entrance exams, and students can also get in through management if they have engineering cut off of about 140+. I didnt prepare for any entrance exams. Students with engineering cut off of 182+ can easily get to choose the course in the counselling process.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission can be done either in government quota (GQ) or in management quota(MQ). 1. Admission through government quota happens at Anna University based on 12th marks (PCM cut off). 2. The college conducts an entrance test and based on its mark one has to pay accordingly to get admission. I am currently studying fashion technology in KCT and I got admission through GQ(open category) . My cut off was 191.5.
