VJTI being located in Mumbai has its territorial advantage over jobs and internships. Its easy to find internships for a VJTI student in Maharastra and arguably in the country. Job placements at Vjti is very good . with placements reaching 100% and maximum salary package reaching INR 53,00,000/-.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
Vjti is one of the oldest institutes in the country. It was setup in year 1887. Its a 16 acre widespread campus. The campus is old and not as much good as you would expecct it to be considering its reputation. Labs are old, they have got new equipments in lab but lab infrastucture is poor. There are cricket and footbal playgrounds, basketball and tennis court. Gymkhana is also there. there are 5 carrom boards and one table tennis table in gymkhana. There is a SBI bank's branch with ATM facility. VJTI has got various labs. Its has everything but in not so good condition!
Fees and Scholarships
VJTI is government aided college so fees is already very less, around 64K per annum. But if you still need scholarship then there are numerous scholarships for SC/ST students. There are sholarships for girl student. For an open category guy he can apply for TFWS scholarship if his family's annual income is below INR 200000. There are other private merit based scholarships.
Clubs and Associations
There are various clubs in VJTI for skill dvelpoment. Ranging from technology, entreprunership, cultural, technical and sports clubs, all are established here. Its great to join these clubs.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are simply you have to complete the necessary exams and online admission forms and mentioned. The exam necessary to get admission for engineering is MHT-CET. The cutoff was 169 out of 200

Academics & Faculty : “Faculty of the Civil branch is excellent”, says a final year student. Departments like Information Technology and Mechanical have excellent teachers. There is a lot of room for research work in these departments. Above average teaching in other branches, but you cannot expect more from professors of a government engineering institute. However, the importance of professors is much more here because of its autonomous nature. Many times the questions asked in the final exams are straight from the professors’ notes. Many experienced faculties have retired in the recent past and the new appointees do not match them in knowledge, qualifications or experience.
