Aditi Gupta's Review on Rungta College of Engineering and Technology, Bhilai

I was placed in Accenture through this college. Over 396 people were placed overall from my college only in Accenture. The package was INR 3.5lpa and it was good for a fresher to have such opportunities. Other than that big company like Amazon is also part of college placements. And all MNCs are coming for placements.

Girls/boys hostel is there. Girls hostel is inside the campus and boys hostel outside. The mess is on the campus and other food shops are also available. College canteen is also inside. Per meal the mess cost INR 40. Quality of classroom is good. Wifi connection is there. Computer labs are good. Play area and parking are there. You have pg options also and pg options are better than hostel options.

It was simple. We have to give an entrance exam called PET. Then according to the ranking, you will get the branch. Like if you have rank under 1000 or less then you are eligible for core branches. Otherwise, you will be eligible for it or cs or etc branches. So the cutoff goes like that. After this, we get three chances of counseling to get the appropriate branch. And also if you don't have good rank you can apply through management quota and also for people who are sc/st they can get core branches with low rank also because of reservation.

Class timings are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and also we get two breaks one short and one long. Every lecture is of 50 mins and teaching is fine. You get all the study materials for clearing the exam.

The course fee is INR 35k per sem. And scholarships are available for reserved caste as per govt norms. Loans can be applied by students. The education loan can be applied.

Life in college is fine. Attendance is an issue in college that you have to maintain. Below 75% can land you in danger. Some events are organized in college like vyom during the end of the year. Then after placements events are also organized. Bhajan Sandhya is organized for spirituality awareness.
