Placements and Internships

I did my internship at SOROCO Bengaluru for two months. I got a stipend of INR 20,000 per month. Some of the IT companies and core companies come for the placements. The average salary is INR 3.5 lakhs per annum. Highest salary figure is INR 18 lakhs per annum. More than 75% students get placed. Alumni helps in placements.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

There are 8 hostels for both boys and girls. Hostel fee is around INR 20,000 to 25,000 per annum. Pg's are also available nearby the campus. Classrooms are newly constructed with excellent lab facilities and wifi is good.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The good percentage in 12th grade is sufficient for getting the seat in CIT. No entrance examination for admissions. They are done only through Counselling conducted by Anna University Chennai. Typical cut off starts from 196 out of 200 for CSE course.

Academics and Faculty

The daily routine is good. Quality of teaching is good. Overall experience is good.

Fees and Scholarships

BE Course fee at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore is INR 20,000 per annum. Not sure about scholarships details. 500 out of 700 students get scholarships from the government. Loan not available if needed.

Clubs and Associations

There are almost 20 clubs for students to enhance their skills and social relationships. The main fest every year is technical symposiums organized by students of each dept. Life in college is good.
