Placements and Internships

5

There are many internships options in SASTRA. If you get above 7.5 CGPA you can directly attend an interview. The average salary offered was INR 3.5-4.5 lakhs per year. Around 60% of the students get placed every year. SASTRA had tied up with many IT companies, finance companies and marketing companies.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

5

There are 10 hostels for boys, 10 hostels for girl's and the infrastructure inside the hostel is good. The hostel fee is INR 8000-20,000 per annum. There are many restaurants and PG's outside the college at a reasonable cost. food in mess is good and satisfactory. The mess fee is INR 3000-3500 per month. SASTRA is having very good labs for practice and classrooms are always neat and clean SASTRA is one of the research hubs in India.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Mainly the eligibility to get a seat in SASTRA is to pass your 12th (intermediate) with 98% and there is another choice that you should get good mark's in JEE MAIN exam (minimum of above 150).

Academics and Faculty

5

Daily college starts at 8:45 am and ends at 5:15 pm. You may have all the periods or some free periods according to the class timetable. The weekly assignment will be given and one midterm exam for each month. In SASTRA I am sure that you will get 100% quality education. The overall experience is good.

Fees and Scholarships

5

For me, INR 1,10,000 per year is the fee. The scholarships of INR 10,000 are available based on CGPA for everyone and every year above 1000 student's are getting the scholarship. Bank loans are not needed.

Clubs and Associations

5

There are many student societies and clubs to interact with everyone. Daksh, kuruksastra and collosum are the popular fests that will happen every year in the college. Engineering life in SASTRA UNIVERSITY is best.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Opting to study at Sastra has so far been the best decision that I have ever taken. The campus is located in quite a remote location boasts a wonderful student crowd and has a strong diversity among the students. It is fairly competitive and is ranked the 25th best college to study engineering in India by the NIRF (national institutional ranking framework).  The application process was quite demanding. Applicants need to submit a proof of their high school degree completion. Basically, Sastra admits students through its counseling process which has two different streams. Stream 1 applicants will have to submit their jee-mains score along with their respective board exam scores. Based on those two scores, the weightage will be 70% board exam scores and 30% JEE MAIN score. The competition is high when it comes to stream two as we will have to compete with the state board toppers. For aerospace engineering, the minimal score range for stream on
