Vamsi Neruturi's Review on Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute

There are 4 blocks of hostels for boys and the same number of blocks for girls also. Hostels are separate for both boys and girls. The fee is INR 57,000 per annum. There are many PGs around the college they charge around INR 4 to 6 thousand rupees per annum, depending on the facilities they provide. Every inch of the college is well equipped with highly technical labs, classrooms. There are facilities like WiFi, Banks, temples in the campus. Food in the college is good when compared to other colleges.

There are no entrance exams. 60% marks in 12th grade is the eligibility criteria. When we opt biotech, chemical engineering we need to have 60% aggregate in biology chemistry and physics.

Class starts at 9:10 am in the morning and ends around 3:00 pm in the evening. Lecturers are well experienced. They include modern classrooms highly equipped labs for all branches. Overall experience is good.

INR 80,000 per year is my course fee per annum. Scholarships like MAD, Anandham foundation, World Vision India, AGARAM foundation, Chinnathirai Nadigar sangham, Tamil Nadu film director association etc provide scholarships for students. Rs 5 crores scholarship is provided by the founder-chancellor and president to meritorious students. Nearly all the students who show good academic performance will be awarded these scholarships. Loans are not needed as they are charging low fees. If people can't afford they can avail loans easily from banks like Andhra Bank, HDFC, Canara, SBI etc.

Clubs like Mozilla, literary seminary, bec, entrepreneurship club etc are actively running on the campus. Literary seminary fest, fests of different engineering branches are also present. Life in college is good. Along with studies, we enjoy the maximum.
